British Indy: What Happens Now?

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. No, he just can't read..

  2. Going round in circles now

  3. What’s the plan for immigration then?

Stop all these unwanted foreigners getting in?

    Who are they?

    Where do they come from?

  4. You have been for nearly 3 years, in a dizzy fluffy spin since the vote :upyeah:

  5. Both sides lied 749r. everyone lies in elections/referendums etc. That's the way it always has been and always will be.

I've had my say on JoB. Sheila F typifies the (ex) BBC metropolitan elite class in one complete package. My dislike of her has nothing to do with Brexit, I just don't think she's very good at hosting a talk radio show. I think the word that describes her best is myopic. Best avoided. LBC has a good variety of views throughout the week but some (e.g Matt Frei) are better at hiding their prejudices than others.

I can recommend Jazz FM to escape all Brexit chat for an hour or two a day.

  7. Right it's the weekend. No more Brexit talk from me until Monday am.

I wish you all a pleasant weekend and may England beat the French on Sunday, even if that means I get no dinner (or anything else !)

  10. What makes you think that the irish issue snuck up on people? It was always going to be the eu's last attempt to stop brexit by blaming the uk for something the eu will do themselves.

The eu's arrogance is what caused brexit but they take not a single jot of responsibility. The increase in anti eu project throughout europe by real people and not trough emptying politicians and multinationals is noticeable, but still the eu refuses to take any responsibility.

When we leave, what the eu does within the eu boundaries is upto the eu, the end.

And yet we have listened to the false promise of the eu that there will be no hard border whilst all the time knowing unless we accept the backstop, the eu itself will be forcing ireland into having a hard border even though the U.K. side will refuse to have one.

Once we leave, how the eu and its members make decisions will be nothing to do with us. The eu and one member, The republic of Ireland will have a choice to make, and they do have a choice. What is the most important to both of them, the people of ireland through the good friday agreement or, a hard customs barrier.

No one from the U.K. has an input on what choice the eu and the republic makes in regards to good friday or eu customs hard border.

  14. Not suspension, just pull it! I think the ECJ has ruled we can without any required permission from the EU 27. Then after regrouping, getting the right team then Pow Article 50 the sequel! Can you imagine the reaction!

  15. I have to say that LBC does cover all bases on the spectrum of views. I also really like Matt Frei as a professional journalist. JOB has an almost exclusive listener base of Remainers because he is incapable of allowing a dissenting voice to make their point so instead, he interrupts, argues, distracts and ends by saying "just name one law the EU has made..." He must be bored with the Brexit hole he dug himself into and it's gong to be pathetic to hear him crawl out of it with a kind of "well, we'll make the best of it, but it could have been so much better inside" bullshit. I don't often hear him but on the occasions I have, Farage conducts himself well, is polite to opponents and always fair. Ian Dale is always consistently making sensible points and worth a listen. Pity he lost his afternoon slot.

Oh and as an antidote to Brexit, relax to fine eclectic music on "Radio Paradise" (internet station no ads).

  16. It’s improved immeasurably since they brought in Eddie Mair and moved the very poor Ian Dale.

  17. Listen c*unt, (I have just changed the meaning of c*nt to “my special lover”), it’s good to have some friendly debate and we do cover topics again and again as circumstances change. That’s fine. It’s pointless when @noobie doesn’t actually read what I write, even when I am agreeing with him. It’s interesting that those here happy with no deal, don’t accept any downsides to it. Even leaving the EU, has no downsides for them. It’s as if the EU don’t ensure that car manufacturers can’t charge more for a rhd car than a lhd car. And people wonder why the German Car industry isn’t worried about losing profit margin post Brexit.

  18. Bit naughty and no need to be honest^^

The world is full of nay sayers and after a while your posts come across as a definitive troll so I largely post by post, now ignore most of your posts. I think some call it taking back control, it's great :D You want me to play ping pong with you for your entertainment but I chose what to reply to and when I want to reply. Again I can't help you

Of course it has some downsides but compared to the upsides, it's a small short term price to make for the long term benefit. If you don't understand that then that's your boggle to bogle.

If you seriously think the German car makers are not worried about losing the U.K. market to other car companies then carry on thinking that way but I don't think we are talking about losing their cars. In fact eu emissions are more likely to kill off the german car market than anything we do
