This was put up on craigslist in Colorado on Feb 6, I've lost the link but had emailed the contents as it struck me as a gamble/bargain or the other way around. Thoughts? 1999 748 Biposto $1250 Bad head gasket. 18013 miles. I believe it has a bad head gasket on the lower cylinder. Haven't ridden it in about 2 years. It's been started intermittently. I began tearing it down, but don't have the time to fix it. Fairings are in good condition - a couple minor scuffs on the sides and seat. Small dent in the rear wheel (can't feel it riding and the tire holds air). Akrapovic pipes sound incredible. Corbin seat. Rear fender/license plate mount was removed and replaced with a hugger by previous owner. Included are the factory under-seat tool kit, head bolt ratchet extensions (pictured), rear wheel stand, 2 jackets, 3 helmets if you want them.

That’s very cheap if it’s for real. In “real” money it’s less than €800/£700. I’d take a punt and buy it. Worst case you can break it for spares.
It was real, the friend I emailed the link to says it was Fort Collins in Colorado but is no longer listed so presumably it has been snapped up. You would have to be committed, with the import bureaucracy and freight but I guess that's how collectors etc get in front.
