Some pictures just taken of everything I have with the bike, I am bringing it from Alicante up to northern France to the tunnel then up to Yorkshire so any interested parties might benefit from a free delivery £4995 is the price
The bike is not registered, I have just collected it, visually it needs a good valet that’s all I know at present, I’m taking to a ducati specialist in Leeds where it will be checked over, just grabbed some pictures as I loaded it, a Dutch guy got in touch asking about Spanish export papers I know nothing about this only document is from Qatar, bikes not registered so needs registering.
I see some leakage from the left side of the bike seen in the pictures, also wear on the left crash bung
The top of the fork leg has some marks can’t see that happening in an off but hey I just picked it up, if anything untoward is proven will be priced accordingly that’s for sure, nothing ruled in or out at present, but it will be in the workshop checked and report back
At that price it's worth putting a few quid into it. A real "smile a mile" bike with a brilliant engine and the last of the old style monsters. Recommended.
I’d rather pay more for a mint one, it needs to be £3500 to be worth it. Quite a bit of work to get that mint
Hi, yes I have the bike in Leeds, basically needs a good clean up and check over, it has some fading to the carbon from the sun, it has sat outside so been rained on occasionally and this shows on some bolt heads etc, some black plastics are sun faded, not a mint bike but a bike that can be made nice. Not sure of the next step, I was in Warrington delivering a mini bike on Saturday and the guy I delivered to has experience of registering foreign vehicles and said get the bike an mot, then register it as it will increase its value quite considerably but I’m a bit reluctant to spend I just want it gone now, I’ll speak with the owner and hopefully reduce the price, the owner is adamant it’s worth a lot long term I understand his point but it’s a buyers market.
I'm with you on that, its a real punt, unregistered, sketchy history with minimal documentation and its been down the road ........ by the time you've brought this one up to scratch and had a row with the DVLA in the process you may as well just find a mint one .... or a 1098 SF
Has it been down the road? No service record is correct, as far as a row with dvla goes why? Have you seen the prices of mint ones? What has a 1098 sf got to do with an s4 rs if that is the bike you are after?
I think it’s a great buy for someone with time and knowledge or a have a go attitude, the bike is all their but obviously needs attention, in life their are people who need everything nice shiny and new condition and pay a premium, or people who can see potential in something and are prepared to put in to get out, this bike needs bringing to life no doubt but it is a lot of bike potentially, I’ll try get the price reduced as it’s worth what someone is willing to pay
Just be a bit careful, there is a huge difference between a foreign vehicle from the EU, that will come with a Certificate of Conformity, to a vehicle from a middle eastern country that won't.
Much more difficult from a none EU country as there is no paper trail (CofC) to prove what specification the bike was built to.
Don't get me wrong, I am not criticising nor trying to beat the price down here. Just making sure that other forum members do some homework on importing non EU vehicles before they make an investment. Best of luck with the sale.
The bike needs tlc, patience, knowledge would help, I’m pretty sure it’s a good bike for someone who can service it up and do the dvla stuff, everything has a price buyers dictate value, I have put it into storage so it’s safely tucked away, i can deliver this bike anywhere.
Last lot of Pictures been as straightforward as possible as seen sand and dust, marks on top of fork leg, fuel leaked leading to staining, tyres whilst matching will probably need changing
