Mallory Park under threat of closure?

Discussion in 'Trackdays & Rider Skills' started by Dave, Mar 5, 2013.

  1. Lots of stuff from No Limits about this on FaceBook

    Anyone know anything about it?

  2. Noise and proposed days limit of use....
Not to mention the owner being offered 8 million by a housing developer.

Stupid bastards buying a house next to a race track then forming comittees to lobby councils to feck up the circuit and close it.

I have great memorys of this circuit as a child and adult.

Ducking asswipes the lot of them.

  3. If they sell it off to build on i hope a member of the outlaws buy a large house and they have unsilenced chops going up and down the road day and night.

    Wild partys all night....

    Lobby that lot!

  4. It's been denied on facebook by the owners

  5. The Bike Insurer
BREAKING NEWS: Brian Robinson of Titan Property Group, owners of the Mallory Park estate has contacted Motorcycle News to state that Mallory Park circuit is not for sale.

  6. You cannot believe the monumental stupidity of people buying a house next to a race track and then whinging like a twat because there's too much noise!!

    It defies all reason.

Absolute knobheads, want fecking shooting. Grrrr, I love Mallory.

  7. I deal with hundreds of people a year who windge when we maintain the railway next to the house that they have just moved into !

  8. Hope so

  9. Keep up...thread on here already which says owners categorically denied its for sale...so get ready for cut price houses near Kirkby Mallory ;-)

  10. The Drift boys who use mallory are angry!!! look on the drift forum :upyeah:

  11. You got me thinking! work would like me to relocate nearer leicester (office)
Could be some bargains coming up!

  12. A friend of a friend knows the owner, he phoned him when he heard. Apparently he stated £8m would just about cover the deposit. And it's not for sale.

  13. Only had the chance to ride Mallory the once and that was on the Walker School. Enjoyed the circuit, but it could really be done with joining a group like MSV because, although the circuit is great, if feels like its stuck in the seventies

  14. Threads merged

  15. We've been holding a charity trackday at Mallory (for air ambulance) for the last few years, it'll be a sad day if Mallory closes. They've treated us like royalty and bent over backwards to help. There's a good atmosphere at Mallory. Sadly, I fear the developers will get their way purely because the noise police are firmly on the side of the NIMBY's.

  16. makes perfect sense, buy a house cheap becuase its next toa race track, get rid of the race track and value of house goes up, makes perfect sense

just wait till the affordable housing replaces the racetrack and whilst the race track noises ceases every night, chavs can make noise 24 / 7

    dick heads

  17. I never liked Mallory.............but then I was on three wheels.....he could never get the line right through the bus stop, therefore it f****d up my role as well........I always felt we were going to have a 'bad one'.......

  18. Hmmm, not sure about the first bit, goes against my biking sensibilities. Profit isn't everything to me.

Affordable housing? You sound a little embittered, voice of experience I'm wondering. Sympathies.

Mallory is a nice little village, I can just see it now.

Mr & Mrs A Snobby-Bastard view house in idyllic location and swan off down the local golf course social evening giving it "Oh we've just bought a house in Mallory Park don't you know?"

Only to find that, a) it's not a PARK and b) it's not quite as idyllic as they thought.

    Makes me laugh.
