So what have you done today..?

  1. Just completed a new shed felt roof for a client, allowed a hour but spent two hours on it:(

  2. This beautiful spring morning I have been to change my bank contact details (painless), transferred the balance to my solicitors client account for my new house purchase (painful), bought a new boiling tap for the kitchen and collected a couple of "memorial" plates/plaques that SWMBO has had made as thank you presents to people have helped us move house recently (both relatively painless).

We also took our new cordless Dyson to someone to fix (the dust trapdoor wont open) and they've said it's fucked and needs taking back to Dyson for a replacement. EDIT - SWMBO has just spoken to Dyson and they are sending a new one, no quibbling at all :)

This afternoon I may "work from home". There again I may have a snooze.

  3. Been showing a joiner in Sheffield how to set a roof out, most awkward shape I've ever come across, I've now left him to it, might be a good idea to block his number for a couple of weeks.

  5. Started off with a lack of appetite then stomach cramps with a lot of repetition.
Now moved on to feeling freezing cold with an above average temperature.
We have a taster menu booked this evening at 7pm for Valentine’s Day!....
    It’s not Not looking good!

  9. Told Her Majesty's Passport Office to shove it up their arse. Went to renew my passport online and followed all the prompts only to be told after I had paid the fee that I was unable to do it online because it had expired too long ago. 2002. So then they emailed me the long application with which I need my fathers birth certificate and my parents marriage cert amongst other things. FFS, I am already an english citizen, I told them to give me my money back, they said no, it is for accepting and reviewing the online application, I said no, you didn't allow me to do an online application, they said, all the information is there for you at the start, I said no, it wasn't I was just following their online form, and then I just got very fucken frustrated and now hate them, hate them I tell ya!

Looks like Wassy had a better day than me!

  11. Despite the early freezing mist, headed out with a mate down to Nelson’s Fort (not our Nelson, the one that got shot on HMS Victory) on the Multistrada with a stop at Loomies for a warming mug of coffee. By lunch time all the mist has cleared and the temperature climbed into double figures so a good ride. Got home about 2pm and stripped the wheels off the Multistrada and shot down to Micheldever for a pair of Metzeler Roadtech 01s as the current pair need changing for the MoT. Got the bike reassembled in time to get washed and changed and pick Carole up for a very enjoyable meal at Yo Sushi. The Excel tomorrow and as we are going by train, plenty of beer and an evening meal somewhere in London. Happy days. Andy

  12. Dropped some stuff down to mr cerakote on monday night....on the rsv4 (chucked it all in a bag) and slung it on me back....its been 4 months since ive been out on it (apart from round the block to turn the engine over) and im 50 this year...if theres one thing that keeps you young its a good sport bike...fucking love it 8 years on. I still stand by what ive always said...ad where you see "its not getting used enough" is just and excuse to sell it...the longer im off the thing the more fun it becomes.....Plus, i was knackered by the time i got back...have to up the treadmill and weight sessions i think...not only that...ive gotta go back down saturday to collect it all....peachy.

  13. The easiest thing to do is just remove the butterfly plate from the shaft with a drill or dremel etc. Then if you get error warnings fit a Ducee. End of problem.

  14. It’s a damp and overcast morning here in West Cork :( but I’m on my way to do something exciting :D. Mind you SWMBO wasn’t best pleased when the alarm went off at 06.47 :( ‘WTF’ or words to that effect. Exited the bedroom pronto, made her a flask of tea, crept in with it, then crept out and legged it to catch the first bus east. MTF.

  16. I bought the wife a new bag and belt for Valentines Day yesterday.

She wasn't that grateful to be honest, but the Hoover works a treat now.

  17. My best mate told me that all the hours I'm out cycling could have an effect on my fertility.

Next thing I hear is my wife is pregnant.

He was right, it's reversed my vasectomy.
