Probably. Doesn't everyone? No, I am referring to a substantive relocation of operations. The whole ball of wax. The entire shebang. (Not to be confused with, say, moving part of your Head Office and a couple of dozen staff from the UK to Ireland, for instance).
Those bastards! We should have nationalised them before they had the chance to scarper! Too late now, they're gone.
because no company has ever moved from one country to another because it see's a benefit to itself before or after brexit? https://citywire.co.uk/funds-insider/news/shell-hq-to-move-to-holland/a261365 That brexit too, in 2004?
In what sand? We knew there would be a mix of, multinationals who flit from country to country depending on the financial advantages, some companies who couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery (jlr comes to mind) and some companies who may in the short term understandably, who with a lack of information coming out, have decided to slot a technical hq to another european country until they see how brexit settles On this however, remainers often paint this as the whole operation has moved when in fact most have not, Panasonic was a good example where it was quoted as the entire panasonic hq in London is being moved to europe (the hq in London is a team of 30 staff and only 10 are moving) There is no head in the sand burying, there IS an awfull lot of selective information being sent out by remainers as a 100 in the scale of things, that when investigated turn out to be close to 10 on the truth scale
Who finds it a lil funny I wonder (out of our scared Ducati buddies) that Airbus were threatening to move the wing production out of the UK only 2 weeks ago when the government 'asked them to scare people' yet 2 weeks on and they announce they are canning the whole feckin' aeroplane but state production in the uk plant should be taken up with more orders for smaller winged aircraft - nice one project fear
I know when airbus reduced production, boeing invested in a new plant in the U.K. https://www.flightglobal.com/news/a...ts-uk-investment-as-sheffield-plant-o-452981/ I know if a no deal brexit happens, the very same airbus board who made that claim it would effect the U.K., knew full well their largest customer for that plane (Emirates)was not going to buy that plane anymore so sought to wrongly claim brexit was involved. This is what airbus said on the 24th Jan 2019 https://www.theguardian.com/busines...s-uk-government-handling-of-brexit-a-disgrace This is what they said only 17 days later https://www.cnbc.com/2019/02/14/a38...roduction-of-the-worlds-largest-airliner.html
I don't fawn over any politician. As as a general rule they are cnuts, out to make your life worse not better.
