British Indy: What Happens Now?

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. I think it more highlights how even in tempered debates rules help and most are able to abide by them, apart from oik corner

I don't think Corbyn whispering in May's ear will get her to go to be honest

  3. I don't think we have too much to worry.

I can't see enough mp's voting for her deal not only because it ties us to the eu in a way we will be worse off and it will resemble nothing like the Brexit that was voted for.

Primarly from Labours side they will object because they know IF they ever get in, their hands will be tied into being leaders of that eu franchise with little or no ability to do anything

Option 1 is the only deal that has ever matched the vote, a clean break from eu control
option 2 has so many downfalls that it is brexit in name only
option 3 being remain is as a number of us have said, would kill british democracy, I'd like to go a bit further on this.

It's been said that no vote or deal cannot be eternal and things can be changed and challenged, as they should. We voted for a trade body in 1975 and were lied too, 2016 we got the chance to consider where we go next. To then not act on that vote would be obviously, we only act on the democratic majority votes when it suits us. That is even less of a democracy than we have now

The continual neverendums, I've asked several times in here to those who support a second vote, at what point does the voting stop and what point do we start acting on those votes? the loudest for a second vote remained mute and incredibly silent.

So should brexit leave not be acted upon, we would AFTER brexit, have allowed mp's to now pick and choose what democratic majority vote they want to accept and not accept

  9. Not sure what your point is.

Most professionals have to opt out of the working time directive. No one gets asked to opt out of the minimum of 20 holidays per year plus statutory. That’s EU law, and I expect it to be one of the first to be rescinded post Brexit. But that’s what the majority voted for.

  10. What really anoyes me about Brexit, the result of the referendum was 52/48 in favour of leave, the majority of mp's want to remain, so they are trying to water down the deal to appease both sides, if the result had been the other way around, 52/48 remain, would they stick by the result or would they be fighting the EU for concessions for the 48% that wanted to leave.
I think I know the answer but it does seem one sided.

  11. Interesting idea. Let’s put it to the test.

Of those of us who voted Remain who thinks the EU doesn’t need reform?

    I think it needs reform

  13. How will we get cheaper food prices?

Most of it comes from the EU and it’s now going to take a longer to get here, which means some will get spoiled and since time is money it’s automatically more expensive.

We don’t have tariffs on food from the 50 poorest country in the world.

Watch Jacob lie/founder all over again. Watch Nick Ferrari’s face as he knows Mogg is making it up as he goes along.

  15. Porsche are the most profitable car company in the world. During the 90s recession they stripped out air con and electric windows to lower the price and stay competitive. If they have to do that again, they will. Have a look at an Irish 3 series. It’s not the same spec as we get.....yet. It’s much lower.

BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, Audi are not price sensitive in the way Ford, Vauxhall, Renault etc are

  16. It’s not knowledge of the future. It’s knowledge of the past. It’s what ultra free marketeers like Rees Mogg believe in. A completely de regulated labour market.
