On the several leaving labour, I did find some irony when Mike Gapes was asked, if the party needs to change, why not stay in it and change it from inside? His reply was, we did try and change it but it's clear that the party does not want to change and so we are leaving. Given all of these people leaving are extreme remainers, perhaps they will now understand why we are leaving the eu as the eu doesn't want to change either.
Oh, the EU is changing: it’s intending on getting bigger, with no right of veto. The Lisbon Treaty which Tony Blair agreed to, and Gordon Brown ratified without consultation is quite spectacular in scope if we were to Remain.
I can see Labour splitting even more. The MP's who left today have done it because they want to remain in the EU come what may. I guess that's ok because at least they're being 'semi' honest....which is about as good as you'll get from a politician. And yet there's still thousands of historical Labour voters around the country, predominantly outside of London, that want to leave the eu and have a party with the balls to say that's their aim. Corbyn and McDonald however are just as ambiguous as ever, not committing to anything or answering a direct questions. I just can't see how Labour under Corbyn will survive long term, they won student votes on the basis of removing the debt, which turned out to be rubbish, and if a large portion of them want to remain in the eu then they'd probably follow Chuka and Co. So without students, and without the Midlands and Northern voter base of people who want to leave the EU, what exactly does Corbyn have left apart from Islington? I'm just waiting for Tony Blair to get wheeled in as the special guest
Assuming all the people who voted for Remain were Labour voters, Labour would appear to have another 25m in reserve if the Remainers all follow Berger & Co? Are the New Independants likely to be more sucessful than UKIP or the Lib/Dems? We all know how well that worked out in terms of MPs elected. Don't forget Libs actually ran on a Remain Manifesto and still only got 11 MPS
Why would you assume that? Many Labour MPs represent constituents who voted ‘Leave’, as do some of the New Independent (Former Labour) MPs?

Those MPs that have just left the Labour party, should now stand for re-election at a by election, as most voters vote for the party they wish to govern not an MP.

If you look globally, even the biggest manufacturers are having massive restructering. No doubt those that wish too will blame brexit but the truth of that is, if brexit was the cause, how does that work if the world wide automotive industry is in trouble?
