  4. Nice mold
When I'm in Bridgwater i always pop in riders, last in two weeks ago they had a few t, shirts on the reduced rail :upyeah:, they have a very nice 1098s Streetfighter you might like which looking at the number plate was first registered at WM Snells Hampshire.

  6. Had a nice early run out on the bike, fingers and thumbs were freezing, went to the top of the moors between Hathersage and Sheffield to watch the American fly past over Endcliffe Park to celebrate the death of American airmen that crashed there 75 years ago, I thing there were 10 aircraft from jets to tankers.

  7. Today, I have had another dose of chemo (first of three over three weeks) then hopefully it won't be done again for 6 months.

Meanwhile, I am sitting here feeling the side effects starting - I have been warned they will be much worse this time.

Won't be doing much else today or over the weekend (but at least I don't have to walk the dog).

  8. Good luck with your treatment Al, I had six months of chemo so I can sympathise with what you're going through.

  10. Thanks Steve - today's was the thirteenth dose - I think there are eight or nine more to have spaced over the next 12 months; so two and a half years in total including the operation to remove the tumour.

A bit fed up with it now.

  12. Thanks all...

...Actually, although they call it chemo, it isn't really proper chemo......

.....what I am getting is a 50mg dose of BCG (Live TB vaccine) into my bladder via a catheter. It is supposed to raise my immunity so that the cancer cells are attacked and killed off.

I can handle the process, but hell, the after effects are bl**dy awful.........it's getting worse as I type - a bit like serious flu, all woozy, nausea and shaky........daren't walk around much, but sitting isn't that comfortable either.

Trouble is it causes a rushed trip for a pee about every 10 minutes, and that isn't helped by having to drink loads (4 litres between 9.30 and now); so in addition, it stings like mad and there is occasional bleeding.

It will last for about three days as it gradually eases off, but it still doesn't go completely by the next Friday, when I have the next dollop squirted in.

But at least I will still have a bladder if it all works properly.

  18. Thought I’d take the LC out for a spin and I’d checked her over last week everything seemed fine but today the left carb was peeing fuel so gave it a gentle tap but didn’t cure the issue. Stripped the carb and the Needle valve was seized solid with signs of corrosion on the edges. Sorted it out but New needle valves ordered.
The joys of owning a 34 year old bike !
