848 Race Fairing Recommendations

Discussion in '848 / 1098 / 1198' started by scratch pervert, Feb 10, 2019.

  1. I'm after a set of race fairings for my recently acquired 848 Evo track bike.

    Any recommendations?

Is anyone selling a set ?

  9. No air runners from the nose cone to air box, otherwise looks complete. Andy

  11. No, I don’t think so although I’m not sure how universal the seat pads are. It looks like you have a similar set to the one I have on my 1098R and I have the DP race seat pad. A word of caution, the CRC seat under tray was an absolute bitch to fit so be prepared to fettle it. Andy

  12. You can’t beat carbon fibre. It’s light, and crucially, very strong so offers high protection.

But with all good stuff in life, bastard well expensive.

Reactive parts do some good stuff (not cf I don’t think) at a good price.

  13. There isn't any under tank panels with the above set, would I need to source a set seperately?

  14. If you mean the infill strips that cover the subframe, the track kits don’t come with those. You can pick up an OE plastic set for pennies on eBay. I’m running the OE 2 piece lower fairings so I can still have the side stand fitted. Poor old bugger that I am, by the end of the day I’m too tired to easily get my leg across the saddle and hold the bike up :joy:. Andy

  15. This is my first bike without a side stand and I must admit, I'm not looking forward to climbing off it

  16. Most circuit garages have a floor to ceiling post to rest the clip on against or failing that, lean it up against the door jam. Andy
