  1. Think the head angle is the same. The longer headstock makes a small difference to the trail I think....

  2. I should have listened when they tried to teach me trigonometry...... :-(

  3. Well....spacer was missing so result here ;-) and wow, even stand still bouncing the, what a difference! There is actually resistance!

now for the next issue...freakin calliper bolts are too long! And measuring the bolt hole on showa v these its a few mm short...balls. At least. Wasn't planning to ride it this weekend...may see if I can pick some ip a Snetterton race weekend

  4. There is some small spacers that either go under the calliper or ontop of the calliper......depending on the size of the disks fitted.

1098 disks are about 10mm bigger I think, so the spacer is about 5mm and would go under the calliper for them, if the evo disks are the same as 848 they need to go ontop of the calliper.

I'll post a pic of mine you might be able to make the spacer out....

  5. Certainly never had those, altho I vaguely remember similar on my old non Evo...so another trip to the dealer or somewhere to either get shorter bolts of a suitable spacer. Awesome

  6. Why dont you get some bolts from pro bolts you are looking for 60mm x10 i guess you have the 55mm x 10 for the smaller 320 discs the 1098 are 330 hence the 5mm spacer (which makes the 10mm on the diameter)

Using bolts from pro bolt you could fit stainless or TI capped hex that you could then lock wire.........looks better than those tapered allen key....

  7. just re read what you need

if its the 10mm x 55mm long then i have 4 of these

  8. I believe it's the 55mm ones yes as std bolts too long hence spacer between. Funny it never came up when I researched how easy the switch was.

Tbf tho it is a straight forward change and can't wait to try them, already can't believe the difference standing still. Settings done although not yet done preload as easier to set sag with 2 people do job for next week

  9. If your changing the bolts then yeah, you want the 55mm ones.

I nearly ordered a set of Ti bolts but decided to wait at the time as I was weighing up fitting the bigger disks (which I decided agains eventually), which would mean buying the longer ones and having the spacers under the calliper.

Then I never done anything, it's still got the spacers and std. bolts in now. :-(

  10. I want some ohlins now for my 848 :-(
