What's the worst thing you've ever bought for your bike?

  1. Come on then....we've all been there and experienced the sinking feeling of "I thought it would look great/be useful, but in reality it looks crap/doesn't work/isn't as useful as I thought it would be"

I got over-excited between order and delivery dates and bought a dust cover.....its nice but really?! A dust cover?!

What have you bought that makes you blush just thinking about it?

  2. Vinyl go faster stripes.

  3. Crappy anodised tax disc holder some years ago

  4. Never have I bought one, they always came with bike or if they did not I did not bother.

  5. Gold Gilles rearsets.

The rearsets are great and the quality is fantastic, but I got them cheap because they were ex-display......and GOLD!

One day, I'll see if I can get them re-anodised black

  6. I bought a Harley sportster 1200 - does that count?

I also had a wallet attached by a chain

OMG - I'm off to bleach my memory

  7. Yes....thats a big one!

Wallet on chain has a certain 'pocket watch' element to it.....I'm sure we could forgive you if under garments weren't on display over the top of trousers :upyeah:

  11. ALL Ducati's deserve a dust cover, I hope that your garage is still tidy , walls painted and heater/dehumidifier now fitted

  12. My record has been pretty good in my 14 years on bikes.

I think I ruined it last month though. Ok, it was only £3.80 but I bought red wheel tape to put on the Corse. Now I have the bike home I think it'll look better stock so I'm going to leave it on the shelf.

  13. I believe he has LOL

  14. R&G crash bungs for my brand new GSXR 1000. They supplied the incorrect length bolts which ended with my threads being ripped out on my engine when I torqued them up to the specified setting. They admitted the error but would not take any responsibility for the damage caused. Ask me if I would ever buy their products EVER again..........

  15. Them's the racing 'Elvis' leathers
Bringing a little glam to the DD paddock! :upyeah:
