British Indy: What Happens Now?

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. It was odd that Poland was the only EU state that did not immediately confirm Tusk? Vote was 27 - 1. Some personal issue I think.

  4. Pathetic crap from Aircon as usual.
My grandfather was also in the German army during the war, but was not a Nazi as he was not a member of any political party. Does that me that I should be judged in some way?
For my self, I was an Army brat for all my childhood and joined the RAF at the age of 17. I served for 25 years and then became an MOD civil servant.
I suppose that none of that counts for anything as, in Aircons words, my grandfather must have been a Nazi.

  5. So by automatically setting the max speed to prevent speeding they are hoping to reduce speeding related accidents by 20%, so the other 80% of speed related accidents aren’t due to speed then

  16. I don’t like to say it but isn’t May right ?

What’s the point of delaying it, they’ve had years to sort it all out and haven’t so delaying won’t make any difference.

Junker (I think) said delaying it makes sense - why ? So they can have another referendum and get the result they want ?

  17. I've said it before and I'll say it again.

May's strategy here, discounting insanity and hitherto undreamed of incompetence, can only be interpreted in one of two ways:

    • She is painting herself and the UK into a corner that can only lead confusion, existential terror and to acceptance of the WA and ultimately, a return to the EU (as the WA will be worse than Remaining).
    • She is painting herself and the UK into a corner that can only lead to confusion, existential terror and to WTO Brexit - specifically, a WTO Brexit that kept everyone guessing up until the last moment in an effort to forestall a Parliamentary rebellion arising from outraged MPs who prefer death to WTO Brexit.
Both of these scenarios explain the otherwise inexplicable performance we have witnessed these past two and a half years. I cannot think of another reason for the lunacy that has been the Article 50 two-year circus.

Wishful thinking suggests the latter option, a lifetime of cynicism towards politicians suggests the former.

  18. No so that they can have another referendum and ask the question "Now you know the facts, ignoring the lies that were told in the first place, do you still want to leave"
