  4. School holidays up here so in the Park with the boy and got talking to a couple of guys removing an old oak tree that had to be taken down. Asked what they did with the wood and they said I could have it foc as it was easier to drop it at our place rather than do a 40 mile round trip to get rid. Gave them a £20 drink and been chopping wood all afternoon. Interestingly I hit some nails near the centre of the trunk that must have been there for a century or more.

  7. Went to my local B&Q for distress purchase of half a dozen bags of building sand.

I looked at the guy paying for 3 rolls of loft insulation on the hottest February day on record and thought
    “I know you”.

As I was leaving to pick up my sand he was returning his trolley, when he spoke the penny dropped.

    James Toseland.

You just don’t expect it at B&Q.

  9. Your not the only victim of BT, their incompetence is incredible, they messed it up along similar lines to your story when I moved house, upon which I gave a fat zero score on their customer satisfaction text message , got called by a manager within 20 minutes, he arranged a special deal, but nothing was forthcoming, they could not find any record of this deal, then the retention team did give me an even better deal, ended up paying about half the normal price for two years, lesson is, always cancel your services, and always ask straight away for the retention team!

  11. I’m waiting for their customer service survey and I’ll tell them exactly what I think. Did the same with Bensons Beds on Saturday. They got a big fat 0 too!

  12. I’m not a fan of BT either
Not very helpful when wanting to stay with them and wouldn’t match plusnet price when I was looking to lower monthly payment due to illness
Keep sending me mail to return to them
    NO CHANCE

  13. And the daft thing is Plusnet are owned by BT!

  14. I know :grinning: and they wouldn’t match the price
Guess what they will now they want my business back
    No chance

  15. Mutter mutter telcos consarn it, mutter......I feel your pain!
In other news, I have just ordered a set of Samco hoses for my S4R to pick up in london when I come over in April. They are red, and now I am wondering if I have done the wrong thing getting red...hmmmm?

  16. ^^^^ depends how close a match the red is to the colour of the tank, may be this just adds to your worries - sorry

  17. Doctor's surgery at 8am to get an appointment in March. Practice is so busy you need to be in the know when a block of appointments are going to be released. The population in our what was once a village and now is a town has increased 5 fold in the last 10 years so not surprising with no new practices opening. Quick trip into Sainsbury's for some milk and then the highlight of my day. A trip into Basingstoke to get a hair cut. Going to adjust the V4 rear sets later, try and open up the knee bend. A 2 hour ride yesterday has left my knee and hip joints a little bit stiff this morning. Andy
