  1. Indeed he was Loz. One of the best taken away all too soon.

  2. Saw this one at Auto Italia in Bristol a couple of years ago, can't remember the name of the builder but this bike was his wifes and he had a Mantis framed special in dark green
This Blue is the same blue as worn by the italian Football and Rugby teams. Makes sense to put it on a duke!

A very nice and subtly done special, all sorts of nice little touches.

  3. What sort of torque are getting with that??? Looking to get a spare set of barrels & heads for my project Superlight and bore it out, but that's on my dream to do list

  4. 76lbft rings a bell.... It's a very flat curve as well. A joy to ride
chris Steadman at CJS did some nice heads that turned out similar results iirc.
Just a peach of a motor. Old fashioned lazy feel but deceptively quick. Chassis is well sorted as well.

  5. Very nice!! Nice bike Nelly :upyeah:
Chris did my heads and hopefully will do the next set with bigger valves........oooooooh one day!!!

  6. This belongs to Alan Long, his wife is Nora. A more pleasant and enthusiast couple would be hard to find. He also has a trick Elefant as well as other interesting stuff. Very nice people :)

  7. The blue metallic of the Pantahs was one of the best colours they've ever done.

  15. Colour scheme nothing, I think it looks fantastic, but the nose cone looks like there is a giant vacuum cleaner sucking it's face off

  17. If that really is the Pantah blue (500) and not the Pantah silver (600) - it looks great! Go for it!

  18. Not sure. Could be silvery blue  Ordered one anyhow.... got too many nice ones in here over shadowing my 696

  19. Lots of lovely dukes on this thread and I`ve owned red ones, duck egg blue ones, silver ones, black ones and yellow ones. Why would anyone want to restrict the colour range?

  20. Er... you do know that Ducatis originally started out silver and blue, right?

It was only when Cagiva took over that they started to build only red bikes as both a marketing gimmick (to copy Ferrari) but also to cut costs?
