British Indy: What Happens Now?

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

  3. meh, its only a pallet, those remoaners are really loosing the plot now.
i mean, how much is a pallet? about 2bob? how many will we need? about half a dozen or so?

  4. 3 pund apiece :worried:
Loads second hand on EBay though :bucktooth:

  5. Regardless of size, wooden pallets entering the EU have to be chemically treated to kill off any bugs etc that are not native to the EU.
Pallets imported into the US from abroad have to be similarly treated,(and same for Australia I understand?)
The issue is not a possible scarcity of EU-size pallets,it's whether there are enough TREATED EU-size pallets.
In reality just a bit more spite from the EU,easily countered by telling the EU that export pallets from them to us have to be treated.Done deal
Pallets that have been through the chemical process have a stamp burned on to them, but solid plastic pallets are also available.
Having said that, infestation does occur: spoke to a guy who worked for a Swiss customer yesterday,he said the Swis had bought some raw Chinese timber recently, and subsequently had to close the factory for de-lousing.
My man said the insects were everywhere, and when trodden on the carcass stank to high heaven.

  13. Isn’t it ironic somehow that Brexiteers are obsessed with restoring more power to Parliament when Parliament is doing its damnedest to prove that it shouldn’t be entrusted with organising a jumble sale?

    I find this genuinely funny.
