So, been Arai to the core for years. Absolutely no complaints with Arai but fancied one of these for a while. First impression- not as comfortable as Arai but lighter (carbon fibre). It’s purely for track days so comfort no biggie as it’s 20 minutes at a time usually. Looking forward to Almeria next month for a good shake down
Had AGV for years, always tight around teh chheks, but this one I sold mine after 2 months , i found the pointed chin caught the air when flat out and turning your head, nearly ripped me neck of ;-)
Very nice helmet. I went Corsa R as I'm a complete novice and just couldn't justify a Pista. Plus I'm absolutely brassic after buying my 899 lol
Little lady has the Corse VR Mugello and I have the project Pista Don’t think you’ll have a issue with comfort after it’s beded in - find it much nicer to wear than the Arai
Any idea why. ( On another note i know your a Southend boy, do you remember Beric from Pole position motorcycle near Bell corner Southend, if so i was told on Sunday he pasted away, in his late 50,s i think.)
One had bits repeatedly fall off and neither found them comfortable. My first biking dealings were pole position. They restricted my first bike and sold me my second. I didn't really get to know them though. Quite young really, a shame.
Just a quick revisit to thread after Almeria/Andalucia re the AGV Pista.... I was impressed in a good way. Less noise that the Arai and definitely more stable at high speed. That wanky looking wing thing on the back certainly works. Noticeably less drag at speed. Which is handy when I lift my head a couple of inches when looking for the brake marker at 170mph Great peripheral vision too and easy peasy visor operation (including changing the fekkers). I'm always weary of changing my Arai visor on a track day in case something snaps! Get one suckers If you like
Had mine for two years now, wear it everyday. Rachet mech for the visor has failed in the past month, other than that its a great bit of kit.
