EU net migration is currently 74,000 compared to 248,000 from outside the EU. 2018 figures. So the problem (?) numbers wise is EU, OR ROW? Maybe if migration is so concerning to some people we should look at ROW figures as they are more than 3 times EU numbers.
Indeed but a big company like Eurotunnel obviously feels their is a case to answer. Brexit ranks as the biggest fuck up in British politics and will have repercussions for the two main parties from which they may never recover.
Maybe a good thing if it changes UK politics ? They recovered from the poll tax though ? Imagine if we'd had social media etc then.
18years to recover. with the help of a decade of anti imigrant pish from their suporting press. 65 years since they last had any support up here. uk politics aint gonna change for the better.
dinna worry allan, we is working on it. break up the uk, the everage englishman wil be more empowered, the north of england ecconomy will benifit massivly
Wouldn't the argument be that we vote for them so they are representing us ? Probably most people would disagree, they say what they think will get them voted in and then do what they like. Perhaps if no-one voted ?
As participation in voting declines, democracy is potentialy reduced to in fighting between special interest groups and or fanatics of various flavors. Mandatory voting may have some benifits though I would personally oppose such a measure.
It's getting harder to choose who to vote for I think. Will be interesting to see what the turn out is for the next referendum / general election ?
