The underlying layer is not spoken of in the MSM and this is the most important aspect to the EU. The EU will be prepared to cut off its nose to spite its own face, as long as by doing so, they teach a lesson to any other EU member who wants to create a Leave situation of their own in order to either negotiate a stronger position for themselves within the EU, or to actually follow the UK out. The consequences of Leave must be seen to be sufficiently awful that no other member state considers trying its luck in this way. This is why it has not been possible to negotiate with the EU and get a sensible, comprehensible leaving deal. You cannot negotiate under these circumstances. . this is the, why cant we have our cake and eat it argument.
This argument always amuses me. Everyone gets arsey with the EU for having a strong negotiating position and driving a hard bargain. Why wouldn’t they? Isn’t that what negotiation is all about? It’s perfectly “sensible” for them. Just a bit rubbish for the UK. No surprise though. I remember the scenario being played out on Newsnight before the referendum.
A large number of people in the UK clearly think " F. Them". And then same people in the UK say "Why are they so mean. They're F ing us". Its like the couple that break up. The one who leaves invariably seems surprised that they are no longer feted nor welcomed in the way they once enjoyed.
Brexit..............La,la,la,la,la.............I have had enough of hearing the bloody word (if it is a word).
Try it. Then apologise to me. No flowers though, money or chocolates only. I'm not arsey with the EU. I understand their position. I am arsey with Brits who appear to be clueless as to the realities of the EU position. You cannot negotiate with an organisation whose main goal is to ensure that further negotiations of that type never happen again. The UK wants to negotiate a leaving deal (or it would do, if May's government weren't tools of the EU). The EU wants to ensure that the UK doesn't leave, or if it does, no one else will want to leave on those terms. What do you imagine is the common ground here? There are two entirely different negotiations on two entirely different sets of criteria. Glidd, you're smart enough to see this. Why are you closing your eyes to it?
I’m not. It seems perfectly obvious to me which is why we are where we are. I’m not remotely surprised or upset.

No, I think they’d make us squirm and grovel a bit though don’t forget, withdrawing The Article 50 Notice to Leave is one thing that our Government can do without their OK.
I don’t read @Loz posts. The man talks bollocks. I have my view and no one will change that. I don’t got by heresay by fron what I see and feel. Can Britain be a big player outside the EU? In my opinion then no. We are led by fuckwits whose only motivation is to ensure they keep in power. They really are not interested in making Britain a better place for all those who live here.
How's the retirement plans coming on? which bit of the impoverished EU were you heading to Mr Selfish
