British Indy: What Happens Now?

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Nigel tells the eu, you must stop this happening, non controlled immigration will destroy europe

To his face and in public they called him a scare monger, racist, xenophobe and wanting to destroy europe

Behind his back and with little public awareness, this happened

It would seem would it not, that Farrages poster was accurate and, the eu agreed to a point they put these blockades in place.

  2. I think I see what you are getting at, people voted leave to go back to the 'good old days' ?

If it is relevant, I am about 5 years younger than you, went to a comprehensive school and have worked in the UK since leaving school at 16. I have 4 kids, youngest is 9.

    From your post I wonder,
'because most of the country is living on a bleak housing estate with no prospects'
Is that the real reason for Brexit vote - enough people with no prospects want something to change, they don't care about the details, just change, they have nothing to lose ?

(sorry if i have misinterpreted your post)

  4. Really? So who has voted for that then? Is that what France, Germany and Italy are going to be voting for - having their national budgets removed and given to the EU? I don't think so. This sounds like a spurious "Project Fear" from the Leave camp. But if you want to back it up with quotes, documents and other material to show that it has widespread support from EU member countries, feel free.

We have established that the controlled migration that the UK could have had for at least 50% of migrants within their sole remit was of no interest to it and nothing was done to attempt to control it. In what way has inter-EU migration been proven to be a problem - "we have been proved very right throughout europe"?

How soon do you think it will get there? Is this stance supported by any country apart from, maybe, Luxembourg? The EU is the 28 countries. Anyone of them has a power of veto.

    Tee-hee.

  5. Glidd, now I know you are playing : o D

The only folk dreaming of Empire is the EU politburo. Where Remainders and other irrational folk get the idea that most Brexiteers imagine or even want some sort of return to the British Empire defeats me - is it lead in the water? Is it fentanyl? Chlorinated soy? Beats me!

There are no philanthropic governments - not the USA, not China, not the UK and certainly not the EU. Sorry to red pill you like that but you sorely need a reality check. Britain is a small significant nation, it can last a while on its own, the same as other unaligned countries will. By the time the UK is faced with a choice of either join a superstate or die, the EU will have auto-cannibalised itself or otherwise self-destructed. I am happy to sit this iteration out and see if a better alternative presents itself.

Questions: do Remainders and other irrational folk genuinely not see the fatal errors that the EU is making? Can you need see what it is up to? Seriously?
I mean that sincerely, this is not a discussion device or argumentative trick.

  6. member states. not eu policy

  7. I'll use this to show the sillyness continues. Can you tell me what date Germany and Merkel asked the 27 about bringing 1 million undocumented migrants into the heart of europe and into the heart of shengen where people once there, could flood outwards within europe. I can't seem to find any eu mention of support or being debated by the 28 BEFORE it actually happened.

  12. No, you're pretty much bang on.
Life is tough for many people and they are not sharing in whatever prosperity the country is generating - and life for many, especially in the SE, is very prosperous.
What are their prospects? Poor. Politically, nothing is going to change. It'll be Tories - Labour - Tories - Labour. Move along folks, nothing to see here.

But one change people could enact was to get rid of the EU. That's a seismic change. They were told the EU was the problem and they could see a way of fixing that problem - vote Leave. That doesn't make them stupid, that makes them ill-informed and lied to.

It is precisely the same mechanism that got Trump elected. He promised to change everything for those people who saw no future in more of the same - same Republicans, same Democrats. Let's shake the whole thing up, it can only be better. Wrong. It can be worse still.

Now there are some things that could really be done. You could close all tax havens. No more shell companies in the British Virgin Islands. Make the uberly wealthy, stateless jet-setters pay real tax. Make corporations pay real tax. Make the GAFAs pay real tax. With the pie shared more fairly, you wouldn't have to cut police numbers and put up with knife crime. You could fund the universities properly so that you wouldn't have to rely on educating the Chinese in order to pay for your own people's education. Etc etc.

But leaving the EU, a false solution to a real problem, is not the answer. It will only create more unemployment, less tax, less police, and more Russian oligarchs, probably, as the UK adopts a low-tax-rate Singapore-style business strategy. Well, it'll be all good for Rees Mogg and his mates, just watch.

  15. From what I've been able to research, sillyness is an "obsolete spelling of silliness".
Jacob Rees Mogg is rubbing off on you. You'll be writing in Latin next. No, don't bother putting your next post into Google translate. I won't bother translating it back again. Your point will be "lost in translation".

  16. So you are infact calling them stupid but in a round about way

Funny how many remainers are anti brexit and anti trump and assume everyone who voted for those were brain washed

Fuck moving to Switzerland, if your not stubbing your toes on nazi gold bars then your selling shoddy chocolate :D

Just a quick question, if the eu is so fanfuckingtastic, why didn't Switzerland sign up for the full eu package?
