So, after I kept my 1260 Base totally standard for the first season I did leave at the shop today doing the followin: Full Termi and ecu up map Öhlins damper(Original broke/Warranty) PP Carbon Windshield Red covers for the cylinders on the handlebar. Rode it to the dealer/Shop in 2 degrees and sun shine. Almost a summer day here in Sweden..... Really longing to test it with the new full exhaust.
I left the bike today but won't pick it up until 10 days from now. But I believe it will say "race" when started.
Upgrades I purchased before delivery this upcoming spring: Evotech engine and rad guards Navihalter for my Garmin Nuvi GPS Dynamic backrest for Mrs DarR's occasional ride https://dynamicmotorcycleaccessories.com/collections/multistrada-1260 Thinking of replacing the Scorpions tyres with Rosso III's before it leaves the showroom.
Getting closer, Carbon windshield in place and so are the red lid:s. Soon Öhlins damper and full Termi. Today it is also 10 degrees at the west coast in Sweden so it is tuff to just look at the pictures. Maybe I steel my wifes Hyperstrada later today...!
Do you really need a steering damper? Or should I ask, does the Multi have one? All the Multi's I've demo'ed were steady even a ludicrous speed.
No steering damper. The Öhlins is instead of the original Sachs(?)that is a warranty/claim. Never even thought about a steering damper.
Stopped by at the shop. Full Termi and updated ECU-check! Did start it just to hear the sound, fantastic. Also like the look. This is going to be a great season!!!!
So, finally, new damper in place. Öhlins instead of the original Sachs. Now the spring/summer is more than welcome.
The exhaust and the map make a world of difference. Have you though of an ohlins scu? Also take off those silly engine protection cases and show off that wonderful down pipe! Happy riding
I really hope that it does make a difference for that price...! I will leave the suspension "as is" right now. Good tips about the engine protection cases, might do so!
The only Multistrada with Ohlins electronic suspension fitted as standard that benefits from the aftermarket SCU is the 1st gen (2010-2012) 1200S. Andy
The dealer gave me a surprise when I did pick up the bike. I had asked them if they had seen any Multistrada with bar end mirrors. They hadn’t. When I arrive they had mounted what you see on the pictures. Free of charge. ”If you like them, keep them, if you don’t we just put the standard ones back on again” Thats what I call customer service!!!!!
The dealer has bought them from a Finnish(!) guy. First time ever that they have fitted a pair on a Multi. see link below. Then they did a clever thing, to not have the "big hole" after the standard mirrors visible on the bar they shifted the left one to the right and vice versa. https://www.allright.eu/tuotteet/mp...mount-mirror-black-right-left-2pcs-in-package
