A month or so just so Macron can have his hissy fit moment and look important before le penn and others crush him in the euro elections. The yellow jackets are children of the Macron era, he gave them birth. I think they finally found out he worked for Rothschild bank and then hollande before his current pomposity
If I had imagined, for one moment, that Brexit would lead to French strikes and work-to-rule, I would never have voted to Leave. People's Vote! NOW! : o / Actually, sod People's Vote. We should consult French lorry drivers for all future important decisions. That's gotta work better than democracy, right?
Just thinking about this for a moment, what if we stay in the eu and revoke article 50, and then in the next few years France decides it wants out of the EU and they leave? Surely that'd then create exactly the same concerns from people? If our only way to move goods in/out of the EU is entirely reliant on France also playing ball what then Does that mean France and the UK should all vote together? Maybe we become Franuk or Ukrance?
You do realise that by leaving the EU and taking back control it means that we will have to customs check each of those vehicles, regardless?
All this does bring back memories, years ago ( mid 1970s) when I was a lorry driver delivering goods to the middle east, mainly Kuwait, by far the worst customs I enncounted was the UK on my return, I have been taken to one side and had the lorry turned inside out, the cab lifted the air filter removed, every nook and cranny checked, yet there were no delays at the borders. I guess if May puts a card in the newsagents tonight we could recruit and train enough officers in three weeks?
