I'm the fortunate owner a fabby 1098R. I recently had my bike dynoed on one of these mobile dyno thingys mounted in the back of a trailer (at Cadwell as it happens). And I don't mind telling you that its a bit scary having the tits well and truely screamed off your pride and joy. I didn't know whether to run off or drag the dyno guy off my bike in a headlock! Anyhow, the results were:- 190.3 RWBHP 99.4 ft lb of torque. Does this sound a bit high?? I think its a bit high compared to other graphs I've read. It has been breathed on mind you... Full 70mm system with ECU. Race filter DP race cams with 60mm bell mouths.
That sounds about right, with the mods you have. Here's mine. Scary, as you say. Andy (Final Edition) - YouTube
That's some hefty power alright! Nice video if the 998 too. I'm gonna get my Corse dyno'd once it's got a few miles on it and run in fully.
that is also what i hear from those mods and soem serious mapping... mind you : wheather conditions can influence up to 6 bhp either way. cool is better ...
I had my mille dynoed twice in two different place's first was 121 bhp, the other 3 months later was 115. They can differ quite a bit, its nice to know how much its knocking out. yes they do thrash the shit out of it. Redline honda chigwell, essex. had a reputation of blowing up engines on the dyno.
Anyhow, the results were:- 190.3 RWBHP 99.4 ft lb of torque. That serious power! How the flippin heck do you ride that on track? I need to ride a bike like that...
My 999R burnt a part out on the dyno . Had to take it back two weeks later to get the pc111 dialed in. No where near that power tho . 150.7 rwbhp . Enough for me tho.
Sounds about right, and that's why i'd have one of these of a Panni any day. Have seen well into the 190s out of these with minor mods. IMO they're the best production bike Ducati have ever made.
I could listen to that all day. Wifey just told me to "turn down that racket". I think our days are numbered.
