First Ride: 2013 Ducati Hypermotard review - Road Tests: First Rides - Visordown Handling sounds a bit suspect. Weight required over the front, whats the touring version going to ride like with pillion and luggage? Motor a bit soft compared to outgoing model? Nearly £10k for a bike with cheapo suspension?? A bit dissapointing.
Funny that when I was sitting on two of them at the show I said to Chris it feels odd. That it feels more like sitting on a monster rather then old hyper. I actually said on old hyper you felt like sitting on front wheel but on this one way at back.

It's not an overwhelming 'wow' that's bonkers feeling I get from either review which is what the old hyper had when it was released and also the ktm sm/r im wondering if they've tried to tailor it too far over towards nearly being a multi mini but not hit either side, sort of half way house. if they're still saying its only good for a Sunday blast then why not give it a huge torquey motor?
I am looking forward reading the tests on the Hyperstrada, looks good. although the petrol tank is quite small 18L. A cheaper Mutli perhaps ? Although i am vertically challanged. All very tall for me.
Funny how ducati were presenting power for new engine. From day one that it has more bhp then old and same torque at 9k rpm with peak power at 12k I think. They conveniently forgot to mention that old hyper has its max power about 8k rpm and max torque even lower. So by the time new one gets to sweet spot you changed up on old one and are half up the rev range and old one is lighter. Sent from my Windows Phone 8X by HTC using Board Express
Had a sit on the Hypermotard at the Scottish Show. Looked and felt good - looking forward to test riding it. If its good I'll be ditching my 2011 Multi Touring and getting a HS to compliment my 2007 Hyper 1100S
