"JEREMY COR-BYYYYYYYN!!!!" It's the way Bercow calls on him that is truly hilarious. Almost like a sort of catchphrase.
It's like essay crisis, isn't it? They may have had 24 months to do something, but they've only been concentrating for about 2, so 2 to 3 more would effectively double the time they will have spent to try and work something out. If you get 2 extra hours to hand your essay in, this is highly useful, even if you've had 2 weeks to write the essay.
If would be if all the other options weren't completely shite too. Even the other party is shite. Vote your way out of that one!
I'm sorry for causing unicorn consternation. I have these strange days where I actually have to work for a living. You chuck in a unicorn reference at lunchtime, figuring that everyone knows what you're talking about, and come back in the evening to find that it has spawned several pages of thread. It's not an insult, unless you have a very thin skin. The Remain side of the argument thinks that the Leave side has been promising all sorts of wonderful mythical things that don't exist. These are termed unicorns - wonderful magical things that you wished existed but don't*. For plenty of unicorn references, tune in to LBC at pretty much any time of day. Most of you will want to avoid your nemesis, James O' Brien, but will by happy to listen to your spiritual king, Nigel Farage, who is on in the evening with his entertaining form of demagoguery. *No need to comment that your pie in the sky actually exists (the fabulous trade deals, the full control of everything, including the fish, enhanced sexual prowess etc etc). We'll just take that as read. We've had 900 pages to know what you believe in. BTW, the Brexit crisis will be solved soon by the reappearance of King Arthur who always said he'd return with Merlin and Excalibur in Britain's hour of need. We'll see how funny Juncker and Barnier find that!
If there is to be a second referendum, democratically there should only be two questions. 1) Leave with a deal, or 2) Leave with no deal. The option to remain should not be given.
Well so far 87% won't have any, so that's only 13% they can fuck up....not so bad Or eleventy twelve percent for Dianne Abbot
Well, “more of the same” and “status quo” were what the Remain side voted for. The fear-mongering Leavers have tried to pretend that they are in fact voting to join the Euro, create a European army, have Parliament as a puppet institution rubber-stamping EU directives and wishing the U.K. to be a vassal state of an evil European superpower - a sort of SMERSH. Once again, Leave invents all sorts of bizarre fantasies to justify its wish to turn the ship on to a new course and ram it into the nearest iceberg. And for the most vociferous members on here, the bigger the iceberg the better. We wingeing Remoaners are simply trying to say “Iceberg ahead!” But you won’t listen. Bonk!
Millions of UK people feverishly searching the 13% of tariffs at this point to see what they can get outraged about. On the flip side, Millions of EU businesses feverishly searching 87% of tariffs to see how exposed they are to ROTW trade with the UK of goods that match theirs. Squeaky bum time
So ... if we could, who should we hold accountable for this clusterfudge? Everyone below? Cameron for calling the referendum in the first place and then running away? Johnson for throwing his weight behind Leave just for his own personal ends? Him and the other Vote Leave leaders for the lies on the bus and breaking the laws around funding? The leaders of Remain for running such a poor campaign? The electorate for voting Leave? The voters who didn't turn-out and thereby let Leave win? The Vote Leave leaders for running away from the challenge after they won? May for her poor strategy, calling and losing a GE, and getting into bed with the DUP? Corbin for his strategy (or lack of it!)? The ERG for their unwillingness to compromise in the interests of the country where opinion is split close to 50/50? Ditto the DUP? The Remainers in Parliament for not "getting on board" with Leave? The EU for negotiating so hard? Copy and paste to add more options if you wish!!!
