Comes to something when you have to do this to your pipe to race in bsb because even race bikes are too loud for uk tracks haha
It's discusting isn't it.... genuinely hope it's just a development system and that there will be a much tidier option soon. I know it's not a beauty parade but still, this is really gross
See it even has a main tuning slide trigger to tune the exhaust length! made for the job!... not sure the rose brass is strictly required in BSB though ;-)
Noise and probably "ideal" back pressure to aid torque and linear power delivery at lower revs(well, as low as sbk will go) By the looks of it they tried to have same pipe lenghts for front and rear cylinders. TBH I do not hink it looks that bad.... Edited: Also that tank doesn't really offer too much space to play around.... Is it me or the rear shock is removed on the first picture?
Function and the rule book win over form... BSB rules state that you have to keep exhaust "design" similar to OEM. For the V4 that means one outlet on each side of the bike. Doesn't have to be in the same place, but it's gotta have one each side.
BSB 1199R had 2 pipes under the seat, that is the same as the 1199/1299 setup and complies with one outlet each side. https://www.bewiser.co.uk/news/be-wiser-ducati-race-team/byrne-and-irwin-seek-more-success-thruxton
Why can't they use the Akrapovic or Termi Uscite. Too loud? Obviously the Termi Uscite looks too cool so that's why that'll be banned, but what about the Akra?
