From the Climate Change thread, @Loz says: "Hard data is, "these are the numbers, this is what happened". Modelling is, "these are the numbers, this is what we think will happen". Modelling is also undertaken in the fashion industry, which is every bit as useful for predicting long-term future weather as climatology is. In fact, in order to avoid confusion in the future, I believe that the term "modelling" should be restricted to discussing the fashion industry and the word "shamanism", for climate change 'science'." So, just so I've got this right, Remain has hard data on what has happened with the EU up until now, whereas Leave has some modelling on what it hopes may happen - a sort of shamanism of belief? You voted for the modelling and are very keen that we should continue to believe in it?
It’s pretty difficult reconciling that stance with the poll at the top of each page of this thread. You appear to be saying that Ducati owners are thick and/or uneducated. That’s not my understanding of the membership profile.
You guys are the tops for putting words into people's mouths. When did I say that? On the other hand, Ducati owners are indisputably old, so it's hardly surprising that they are all Leavers.
Actually that's raises something quite interesting. Forgetting whether we're all thickos for a minute, wouldn't it be safe to say that Ducati owners tend to make purchases with their heart and not their head? I mean look at all those scrambler sales? There's no genuine thought gone in to that purchase, but a heartfelt decision possibly Maybe people who voted Brexit simply did it with their heart, and those that voted remain voted with their massive educated heads?
I wasn’t suggesting you had said that, sorry if it came across that way. I’m learning about this still, I honestly never really took much interest until recently. I do find other people’s opinions interesting. Originally I was just seeing if you believed that there should be a criteria for voting and noticed that your examples of angry people were from the leave angle. I can stop asking you questions if you prefer ?
Asking questions can serve two functions. a) it's a rhetorical device and is disingenuous because you're not really interested in the answer, just making a point. This is fair enough. I expect I do it all the time. I don't feel constrained to answer those. b) it's a genuine question and you're interested in the answer. If (b), I'll answer all the questions you want (within reason).
You know whatever the name calling, fat shaming, ridiculing of education levels, i honestly think everyone on this thread means well and are all good eggs. When Jeremy Corbyn sorts this Brexit mess out in the next few days i'll genuinely miss this thread
its not easy for you guys. your options are basicly the left or right cheek of the same arse. i get it.
