Exhaust Pipe Polishing.

Personally, I think Solvol is a little coarse to get a mirror finish.
Autoglym liquid metal polish is good, as is Peek, if you can find some.

 

2 options.

A: As above, takes ages and makes a right mess.
B: Pay someone else.

I've done A. I'll be doing B next time.

 

Ive done A too. I ended up looking like a coal miner. I too will be doing B next time.

 

I did B and it cost me £30 for my Diavel Termis. Once they are polished you will need to keep it up though as they discolour quickly. If I was to do it again I'd probably consider ceramic coating.

Pay somebody to do it properly !! They are much easier to maintain !!! I use wurth stainless steel cleaner spray it on leave for a minute and there spotless

 

Blinkin eck, i could build a 3 bedroom house on those chicken strips

 

Buffing wheel using diferent grade polishing soap, not expensive but good results. This took a while to do.

 

B every time.

 

C: Zirotec ceramic coating.

 

Same here, and I have a shed load to polish, not just zorsts.

 

Just started doing mine, 600-3000 grit pads then I need to finish the on the wheel. They have come up well but have taken 4 hours or so! Should be a lot easier to keep this way now.

 

Here it is all back together. Think it was worth the work

Started polishing my pipes on my Z1000 but in the end went for cerakote... Even after caked on salt and what not from the road... 2 minute wipe makes them come up as new...did the hyper as well.

 

Did you spray them yourself (air dry)?

 

Nope - had a pro do it. one of those things you need to get right first time...

 

I am more interested in those forks, they look really good. Did you have them anodised or are they new?
