So what have you done today..?

  1. An hour on the treadmill followed by giving the Mrs a full English ;-)

Now got to clean out car, tidy it a bit to return and get ready for new job I start tomorrow. Hoping the snow stays away or the 200 mile trip to Walsall will be interesting...

  2. Just done 5 mile semi off road, practicing in the mud for next Saturday when I have the second Brutal 10 race.

  3. 3/4 through putting the rockers and valves back in the 916 head and about to stick a deboned leg of lamb on the barbie for Sunday dinner.Have to do it in the garage cos it keeps flurrying with snow

  4. Just got back from a freeeezing Brands.

Met up with MADASL and the Knight Race Team.

  5. How'd Challis get on? Couldn't find anything live online

  6. Today I predict pain in fact I am in pain after spending this morning going for my green belt in karate. Did not help that I pulled my calf muscle in training yesterday, but hey no pain no gain

  7. Spent a very busy day delivering flowers. Not even getting paid for it, but it's quite satisfying to see peoples' faces when you pitch up with a big bouquet. Pleased to see my sister's shop rammed full of customers, too. It's been a tough couple of years for her, but she's made a whole bundle of bunce this weekend, although she's had to work bloody hard for it.

Got a new friend, too. A gorgeous but elderly little spaniel wandered into the shop yesterday, and despite ringing local vets and putting signs up everywhere the owner hasn't been traced, so my sister's got a pet dog for the time being, and I took her delivering with me today and for a run round the fields. We're best buddies already.

  8. Aww ya big softie fig

  9. I've hardly moved off the sofa apart from having lunch and playing with my granddaughter (she's been asleep for the past hour and a half) so I've been able to watch the rugby and footy all day :upyeah:

  10. Took her round to the local gamekeeper as she's obviously a working dog, but he didn't recognise her. Can't help feeling that she's been left out because of her age, which is sad if it's true. Not that she'll want for anything now, she's already being spoilt rotten.

  11. Yeahhhhh
Sounds like she chose you guys
    :)

  12. As bad as me !!!!!

  13. Just a thought have you had her scanned for a microchip?
    Vets can do that.
Sadly doesn't always amount to finding the owners some just dump them and move on .
    Poor woofit :(

  14. I got a new ultra bright light for my finned friends .
    And a sat Nav.. I have 2 now :)
    But that's fine by me.

    Been decluttering my life ..
I sell some bits to buy something I really want.
I need some knee pads at the mo.
Got to get some more Roller Derby kit.

  15. She's not chipped; the local vet is just up the road from the shop, so that's the first place they went. The vet reckons she's about 10 years old and has had several litters. I just get the impression she outlived her usefulness to the owner. Still, Berkeley is only a small place, sooner or later someone will walk in who knows her.

  16. Oh bugger, we've just lost a major contract. This is not good news.

  17. Thats really bad news, hope you can get a different contract to replace the lost work!

  18. Went to look at the pink cherry blossom, golden daffodils, white hawthorns, and yellow gorse all flowering in a snow blizzard. Made me feel slightly Japanese.

  19. Bummer. Hope you'll be ok.

  20. We've had the contract for 12 years, it's been our bread and butter. But the client has decided air con is not a necessity at the moment and is not renewing. We'll still get some callout work from them, but it's gonna be a big blow for us. I may have to start firing off some CV's:frown:
