just been in the shed and put the 749 clutch back in... now time to wake neighbors!!! off to the ace for a cuppa then probably down to Horsham.. gunna use my dainese on piece for the first time....
I ran out of toilet paper at lunchtime, so I'm doing that "trousers half up" waddle routine while I go and get some more. I'm about halfway to Aldi now.
First dry (and sunny) day for weeks so took the M1100S for a spin. I think I’m falling in love with it . I thought, being a naked it would help me go slower. Wrong. There’s so much torque, it’s like a steam train, before I know it I’m doing something that might be well into illegal territory (on a private road of course) . Found this beautiful MV Brutale whilst out as well.
I’ve just read the Bike review of the Brutale RR. According to them it’s “close but shite” (I paraphrase).......they only gave it a 6 out of 10 but with a few tweaks (poor rear brake, dash not legible etc) they reckon it’d be excellent.
Had a great rideout today with my son and his oppo, and was introduced to a brilliant single track road between Trecastle - Tirabad it bisects a Military training ground about 9 miles in length brilliant road surface (military maintained). We then bimbled to the Owl's Nest Llandovery, Coffee and sausage, bacon bap very welcome as it was pretty cold. The place was rammed with bikers of all denominations, good banter including the old bill 3 of them on bikes. They sped of pretty sharp though..... possibly on a shout. We then started back to base via the notorious Black Mountain beautiful scenery dropping down on the south side we carefully passed a biker and a parked car with people milling around on the roadside, not safe. Arrived back in the village, and popped in my local for a coffee, only to be told we had lost two local lads one today and one yesterday or Friday the later being where we encountered the people on the Black. The rider today must have been minutes behind us was up on the Crai Reservoir road, lady luck was with us today peeps. Deepest sympathies to all concerned.
“(poor rear brake, dash not legible etc) “ Sounds like any Ducati Looks the business though. I’ll have to take a look at some reviews just FMI
took the 749 out for a shake down... all went as planned.. but as a result I had to go to halfords so I picked up a socket set.. also tried out on the bike the gopro hero7 me lil bro bought me... fucken awesome!! lot of wind noise but you can still hear the engine (almost over the clutch) but the picture is amazing.. spent a few hours trying to get to laptop but got there.. not sure how to put vids on here or if I should!!!
I've got a Stealth drift 2 and haven't a clue how to upload vids to YouTube or here. I've got them on the computer but that's it. Steve
I have been out over the weekend taking it easy walking in an arboretum and by the river today I was hard going but did it I love nature And flowers
Took my recently acquired track Honda sp1 out for first time , really impressed with it , effortless speed and totally confidence inspiring , it’s no indicators wing mirrors or lights so just needed to allow a bit of forward thinking before doing anything , lovely thunderous burble a bit like the Ducati really
Also agreed to buy this lot for the sp1 if I put it back to road form , but I like it as it is in a way
We had a pre-arranged meet up with a couple of other friends and their families to go ice skating with respective kids at Swindon Ice rink....its was a lovely day but because pre-arranged we were all committed....didnt go well. My Mates boy's girlfriend dislocated her shoulder, he cracked his head, my youngest cracked his elbow so not a great day....
