Enduro practice day at Exedown, with Actiontrax. Good fun..but can barely walk now, 30 miles offroad on steep hills is no joke.
Saturday up at 6am, put the bike lug trailer together and took the Multistrada to Peterborough Ducati for a service, it’s SORN’d at the moment. + fresh brake and clutch fluid. The recalls on a few items including the Brembo brake recall meant I qualified for a free loan bike. They gave me a Multistrada Enduro 1260. So I spent the weekend having a blast. Yesterday with bro number 6 and his insane Aprillia Tuono Factory complete with the most fantastic Yoshumura can. Today I rescued uncle Barry from his non starting lawn mower, instead we went to The Sportsbike shop in Lincolnshire. Had a great blast and when we got there we bumped into Jamie Clare and his girlfriend. Lots of interesting bits on his Multi. Great blast back to Ducati Peterborough enjoying the up...and down quickshifter. Great piece of kit and thanks v much to the boys at Duc Peterborough. First time I’ve ever put £32 worth of gas into a bike tho!
It’s graft fella Thing is hotel bar shuts at 11 and it’s 10-45 and I’m in bed fighting not going downstairs it’s not easy
I’m earning nothing until Tuesday, load up to go France, was meant to have stuff on the van now but some clever codger taking liberties now has to find alternative transportation, cost me a couple of hours and didn’t earn anything for his antics....anyway it’s all good nice dinner today and walk on the beach and round the old town, bloody massive this place I Have only got halfway down the front really, apparently the English are camped round the next bay so I’ll stay this end.
That last photo of the M gold building has been empty for a long time unfinished, the builders borrowed 90 million from the bank which went bust in the last recession and the bank collapsed to, they are trying to sale each apartment for around 1 million if you fancy one.
Quite interesting that building, they originally planned on half the height then changed it to 40 odd stories, then realised they had not factored in installing a lift so hurriedly did which resulted in a few workers getting injured, the injured were more injured by the fact no real access was enabled for medical teams due to short cuts in finance, I’m sure you can get an apartment for 150K€ to 1.3 million € something daft ....you would not get me in it, not sure if the lift was sorted either
Took my eldest grandson for a ride on the Panther called in McDonald's for a burger really enjoyable couple of hours
