British Indy: What Happens Now?

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Never voted for her

  2. Kate Hoey raised the question in parliament this afternoon does eu law over ride u.k. law in regards to this and Bercow said as a matter of general law eu law trumps uk law.

I understand that a number of mp's who are lawyers and barristers led by Bill Cash, are to raise a point of order tomorrow stating that the withdrawl bill means any change from the U.K. to change it's leaving date can only happen with Parliaments and the house of lords permissions after having gone through the votes process, and not through a nudge and wink from the eu. It will be interesting to see what comes of it.

  5. I didn't say that, you did.

I said voters had decided that since the previous Election more of them had decided to vote for someone else.

Anyway, Brexit has turned into a load of bollocks. Whatever the outcome Britain (if indeed GB actually survives this as an entity) is damaged for a long time to come.

  7. Fair enough, I thought you were implying that people didn’t vote Tory because of their policy to carry out the result of the referendum.

  8. Some probably did. Many in fact.

  9. It is people like you that has turned it into a farce ffs! You and MP's with similar undemocratic attitudes to the whole thing - you all need to grow up and grow some bollocks (apart from your selfish reasons of course - you are welcome to those) :):upyeah:

  12. Well that's just plain silly and desperate fin. Did you think I ran down to the internet shop and told them to hide "why does a Scottish MA degree take 4 years when the rest of the U.K.'s B.A degree's, take 3 years? :joy:

  16. Or it could be the fact the whole thing was a farcical load of unworkable bollocks from the start.

I really could not give one fuck about the politics of it all anyway, i hate that shit with a vengeance.

Its people who are important, all politicians will ever do is make your life worse.

  17. True, and I understand your views due to your personal position, but they are far from democratic :bucktooth:
The EU council are worse though - bullies the lot of them, ours are just incompetent...

  19. I never said that these countries are [full] members of the EU, I said that they are in the EU.

Stop undermining your occasional good arguments with bad ones!

  20. in the same way anybody doing business in, or visiting America has to abide by their rules
you know what Al. I think you need a lil "Wee Ginger Dug" in your life. a blogger and columnist in the National. he has an uncanny habit of saying what i'm thinking when i'm thinking it, he covers the days events with a bit of "Glesga humor" even the moderate brexiteers on our side of the constitutional debate find informative and amusing in a good way. a wee extract from his latest.
    .
According to reports, the small elitist group of arch-Brexists in the Tory party who attended a meeting with Theresa May at Chequers over the weekend have taken to calling themselves the Grand Wizards. You know, what the leaders of the Ku Klux Klan call themselves, so that’s terribly reassuring. Only it’s not so much a burning cross on the lawn as it is a binfire in parliament.

But it’s true that the Grand Wizards of the European Research Group are magic, their intransigence has managed to make the UK’s reputation for stable democratic institutions and pragmatism disappear, along with their own preference for a no-deal Brexit. They’re what you’d get if you mated Sauron with Mr Bean. Jacob Rees Mogg was forced to admit on Tuesday that it was now looking like a choice between Theresa May’s deal or no Brexit at all. He was forced to concede that he was now “reluctantly” considering lending his support to the deal even though the DUP remain opposed to it.
