  2. Beautiful says it all, apart from how much do want for it!!!!

  3. Thankyou Richard.I don't think I could part with it.Probably end up as part of my childrens inheritance.

  4. The ultimate bike and the ultimate work of art. Beautiful.

  5. Mervyn

That is one beautiful Triton, very similar to the one I had. Looking forward to seeing it very soon b.t.w.:upyeah:

Please indulge me now and tell me more about the engine.

  6. Hi John, hope you are well and enjoying the weather here in Sussex?
The engine is a Thunderbird 6T Pre Unit engine with a 750cc Morgo conversion.Lightened pushrods and competition solid spacers on the rocker shafts instead of the normal spring washers.Uprated oil pump and Lucas K2F Competition Magneto.Cylinder head is a 9 stud T120 fitted with unleaded valve seats with a little gas flowing on the inlets.Head was prepared by the Cylinder Head Shop a couple of years ago.
Gearbox is a period slick shift.
Frame is a Wideline Featherbed with roadholder forks and John Tickle twin leading shoe front brake and Tickle top yoke.
Manx baffled tank and Manx alloy oil tank.Mudguards are Manx rolled edge alloy.
Last used 2 years ago and is due for an overhaul this year.I am hoping that I can achieve this.Just hoping to find a suitably qualified Triumph engineer.

  7. Beautiful!

  8. 32mm Amal concentrics? Cibie' headlight?

Your description is music to my ears!

Finding it tricky getting to grips with the temps here, it was 38'C when I left India last week! 749 is ready for action, me not!

  9. Amals and dished Cibie,Akront rims.
I think 38C might be a bit on the hot side for me John-but a bit of warmth would be nice.Cold and wet no good for anybody.

  10. Beautiful, takes me back and only wish I'd still got mine.

  12. So very very nice indeed. Went to the Classic Bike thingy at Ardingly on Sunday and there were some beauts there too. Want want

  13. That is a work of art :upyeah:

  14. Beautiful.
Bikes like this that got me into riding in the first place

  15. I have only ridden it once with the lights on-during torrential rain-didn't loose a bulb.Suprising really considering the vibes.A lot of people prefer the 650 engine as it's a bit smoother than the 750.Triple engined cafe racer would be nice. Most riding has been done during daylight.
