British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. From the home of modern democracy and after given the clearest of mandates by the british people to leave the eu, the house of commons are still confused as to what leave means so have decided to resolve the matter.... with a pencil and a multiple choice A4 questionnaire

  3. I believe they are discussing the friday leave date legality as we type

  4. Tusk says do not betray the 6 million people who signed the revoke Brexit petition or the 1 million mainly Londoners who marched , even though many aren't eligible to vote or even British Citizens
This just shows their arrogance - total and utter wankers as they know they are better with us in, and we are better off out - yet some short sigted people cannot see it. Beggars belief :eek::eek:

  5. I think it's just the longer we are in, we are still paying in.

  6. I don’t know that it was mainly Londeners but that’s besides the point.

I would bet it’s a very generous estimate of 1 million people but let’s accept that figure. It means that 65million people did not march.

Apparently 6 million people have signed this petition... 60 million people haven’t.

17 million people voted to leave. I was not one of them but I fundamentally believe in democracy and I think it’s a travesty that the British people are being ignored by the Pantomime called Parliament.

Any politician not voting for the democratically decided referendum should be thrown out of office.

  14. That’s the equivalent of banning Europeans from voting in a Brexit referendum.

    Equivalence is fair, no?

  15. Legislation says we are leaving on 29/3 without a deal.

    Prove me wrong, with facts.

  16. it would be if it was equivalent but you are comparing legal requirements for an election and a petition that any man and his dog could sign

even by your normal standards, I suspect alcohol or de erb maybe influencing your posts this evening :D

  17. First point - i wasn’t referring to a petition I was comparing those who were permitted to vote in indyref 2014 and Euroref 2016.

Indyref 2014 - everyone registered to vote could vote regardless of where they were born.

Euroref 2016 - only British citizens.

Second point - That would be wonderful. Can’t see why Honda tooling would be of use to BMW though. Not unless they want to make Hondas. We should meet up sometime and I will tell you all about manufacturing

Feel free to find anywhere I have referenced that petition as cause for a second referendum or as reason to listen to The Remain camp. You won’t find any because I have not done so.

That petition is irrelevant and a waste of time.

We are leaving the EU. Have been saying this for months and have long since bothered to try and get people to think or want to do otherwise.
