I had to buy the rubber ones on the heads behind the pulleys as they eventually crack and fall apart. About 25 quid each, but the plastic ones I think are cheaper
Just looking for something to repair this with. Silverhook BIGK1 Big Boy Glass Fibre Resin Repair Kit https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003N0LDO6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_9A-HCb5FNSEJW Suitable ? Or araldite ?
I would go the fibreglass route as its a stressed part of the fairing, I would put a patch over the area big enough to take the load of the mounting.
Another potentially silly question For checking the valve clearances are standard flat blade style feeler gauges suitable ?
Finally managed to order some tools I need to do a bit more on the bike. (See other thread about tools, I check my shed roof almost daily now ) Probably more stupid questions to follow soon
It’s slow going, but managed to find time to repair the belt cover and refit them. I only re-checked the belt tension 10-15 times before putting the covers on too, that’s good for me.
Undoubtedly , strangely though it’s the only manifestation I have of it, there’s just something about that bloody back door!
