  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

  8. He’s said UKIP have infiltrated his local association and blaming them for instigating this and skewing the vote. Yeah Dominic, because it can’t bevanything to do with your behaviour, can it?

Not surprisingly he says he will take no notice of this democratic vote. Nothing new there then.

  9. "If the divergence between different European economies is so great that even the ERM cannot contain them, how would those economies react to a single European currency?
The answer is that there would be chaos of the sort which would make the difficulties of recent days pale by comparison.

Hugh sums would have to be transferred from richer to poorer countries and regions to allow them to take the strain. Even then unemployment and mass migration across now open frontiers would follow. And a full-fledged Single currency would allow no escape hatch.

The political consequences can already be glimpsed: the growth of extremist parties, battening on fears about mass immigration and unemployment, offering a real — if thoroughly unwelcome — alternative to the Euro-centrist political establishment.

If in addition you were to create a supra-national European federation, and the people could no longer hold their national parliaments to account, extremism could only grow further.

It is time for the European politicians to sit up and take note. Time to stop their endless rounds of summits — summitry is fast becoming a substitute for decision-making — and observe the reality around them.

There is a growing sense of remoteness, an alienation of people from their institutions of government and their political leaders. There is a fear that the European train will thunder forward, laden with its customary cargo of gravy, towards a destination neither wished nor understood by electorates. But the train can be stopped."

  10. Looking at all the papers this morning (if they are to believed) snap election, customs union or Mays Deal seem the likely options in the next week.

Prepare for a an extension until either autumn, to get new Tory leader, next spring to get leader and general election complete.
    mailonsunday.jpg

May should be gone within weeks of the extension finalised so Beginning May/ end of May.

  11. Conservative Party manifesto 2017 says:

‘Brexit and a changing world. We need to deliver a smooth and orderly departure from the European Union and forge a deep and special partnership with our friends and allies across Europe.’

‘As we leave the European Union, we want to negotiate a new deep and special partnership with the EU, which will allow free trade between the UK and the EU’s member states. As part of the agreement we strike, we want to make sure that there are as few barriers to trade and investment as possible. Leaving the European Union also means we will be free to strike our own trade agreements with countries outside the EU.’

  12. And:

‘When we leave the European Union and its Common Fisheries Policy, we will be fully responsible for the access and management of the waters where we have historically exercised sovereign control. A new Conservative government will work with the fishing industry and with our world-class marine scientists, as well as the devolved administrations, to introduce a new regime for commercial fishing that will preserve and increase fish stocks and help to ensure prosperity for a new generation of fishermen. To provide complete legal certainty to our neighbours and clarity during our negotiations with the European Union, we will withdraw from the London Fisheries Convention. We will continue our work to conserve the marine environment off the coast of the United Kingdom.’

  13. Seems odd to me that any politician, particularly those in the forefront of it all, would want a general election.

Do they think the people voting for them can’t remember what happened yesterday let alone over the last 3 years.

Tories have proved they only care about themselves.
Labour have proved they just want power.
Lib Dem’s - to me if they were still saying they’d revoke article 50 and the MSM is right about public feelings, maybe.

Or would it be one of the others ?

  14. And:

    ‘Theresa May’s Conservatives will deliver
    • The best possible deal for Britain as we leave the European Union delivered by a smooth, orderly Brexit.
    • A strong and stable Union, with no divisive Scottish referendum at this time.’

  15. Power grab by Lord Bucket Head, in alliance with SNP, Plaid Cymru, Sinn Fein and Home Rule for Rutland?

  16. Yep. Liars.

    Quick (serious) question:

The Conservative Party - should it be abandoned by all, the membership leaving it to join other parties and hoping for a catastrophic showing in the next General Election followed by the Tories' eventual fading from politics all together ...
... or should the grassroots Tory membership seek to decontaminate the Party, remove the lying, duplicitous MPs through deselection, in the hope that more suitable candidates can be fielded in the future and thus, revitalise the (now more democratically inclined) Tory Party?

TL;DR: Tory Party - burn it down to the ground or try to fix it?

  17. Don’t forget the Greens. :)

  19. Serious Reply: it rather depends on who takes over as “Leader” and whether a cohesive and relevant party can unite behind that leader. If they remain a coalition of “Personalities” and loose cannons I think they are finished.
