There is no compromise to Brexit, there is WTO and negotiate from there, there is remain and be swallowed up by an ever powerful EU council, there is remoaners crybaby soft Brexit which is as crap as remaining...
I should be pleased if you could review your comment as I use this forum on occasions. I voted ‘Remain’ in the referendum. I now wish to see the conclusion of the democratic referendum carried out as soon as possible with the best obtainable deal (Or WTO if no other deal practicable). The cause of my change of mind is indeed the antics of Tusk and Junkers and the organisation they represent. M. Barnier has played a blinder to achieve his masters objectives.
Happy to oblige. Jez, the indications from this forum are that the Brexit is gaining (more) ground. TB
yes and no. yes we care about your democratic decisions and no we dont want to be a slave to them. there want be a hard boarder as such. you cant afford to lose another 60 bill of trade and any deal you do with the EU will be the same deal for any EU member.
A clear referendum with strictly defined options would be something I would support, maybe Leave WTO/ Mays shite Deal/ Corbyns boring Custom Union Deal/ Remain. Or even Leave / Happy ever after LOL.
Are you serious? How would the options be structured? Pleased tell me you realise why my question is significant!
The referendum result was LEAVE. Your suggested alternatives for another referendum equate to LEAVE, REMAIN, REMAIN or REMAIN. Are you suggesting that you would prefer that we continue to leave the EU by remaining indefinitely?
i think the next reff could be seen in the same way some are calling for a second brexit reff. to ratify the deal and conditions offered. the simple fact of the matter is, circumstances have changed. not just a wee bit. but massively. everything from devo max to guarantied EU membership that was offered by bitter togeather. its a simple yes no exercise. its not a vote after a short campaign to save a party. it was a long running thing with long running consequences. it appears we have a different definition of a functioning democracy.
Please be so kind as to revisit post 29963 where I tried to make my suggestion available for your consideration. I haven’t changed my mind in the intervening ten minutes, so further consultation shouldn’t be required, but thank you for asking.
How about Leave WTO. Revoke article 50. I still think the problem, whatever the options are, would be if it’s close. I can’t think of any option that may win say 75% of the vote.
The questions would be immaterial in a second referendum as there’s little evidence to suggest it would have any bearing on Government actions.
There are There are a great deal of people who want things. I wish you luck in getting a 100% of what you want. I am not going to hold my breath nor bet on your chances.
