  2. You need to plug a reader in (cant remember what its called) and load some software on your laptop/phone/tablet.

I have the bits you need if you want to borrow but i'm really busy this weekend so won't be able to diagnose with you but you are welcome to collect them this weekend or i can drop in Sunday evening if you like.

  3. nice one mate... im waiting on mechanic to call back.. may take it to him yet... have tightened all bolts and cleaned everything up.. its been running in garden for 15 mins and is up to 80 ish degrees and starting running and revving freely with no back firing... probably take it for a blast in the morn and see how it goes then possibly drop to mechanic...
do you know how much oil these bikes should hold? not having much luck on google.

  4. About 1/2 way up the sight glass.....

  5. Oil could be coming from the generator wire rubber grommet.

    Backfiring could be pump relay.

  6. Hey Joe...how was your new fuel cap? I just got one like yours and plan to fit it tomorrow. Does it leak??

  7. his cap looks identical my Chinese cheapy and mine is fine..

  9. do you think oil in that connection could cause problems? like misfiring/cutting out? long shot here...

  10. no, I just want to hurt you... the il4 thing was just an excuse!!!
tbh I do like il4's , I like most things with 2 wheels and an engine, but dukes are my passion and I ride em pretty much every day so would rather improve my skills on one... a back up jap bike would be cool though

  11. Seen it happen before. Hopefully it's your problem, give the connections a good spray with electrical cleaner.

  12. me too!!! cheers dude.. im hoping that is the prob....ive given everything in the area a dam good spray with contact cleaner...

  13. no idea of mils? anyhu mine is definitely over full... after the leak last week I put in 200mls it looked just below the top line... looking today its well past the top line...

  15. one would hope so!

  16. Excellent news ...here’s hoping

  17. Problem is the "refill" amount after an oil change is less than what the bike holds as when you drain some is left behind.

  18. yea I over filled my ss buy putting in the "correct" amount when doing an oil change...

  19. Also, the level tends to be lower after the engine has run, it takes a while for it to settle back down. On some bikes you should check cold, on others like my GSXR from cold you run for 3 minutes and let stand for 3 minutes then check. You need to RTFM.

  20. No you dont..
