Ramasis didn't charge and I lined up three for this and two other tours over the next three months. All of then delivered today direct from the underwriters Ageas. They got the start date for my June trip wrong, missing the first few days, so called them and they're sending another. No charge
Not really, but I suppose it's pretty obvious: Ardennes, Luxembourg, Moselle, Nurburgring. Fine weather = longer runs; torrential rain = staying in the bar. Take a look at a map of the region, and see if there is anywhere you especially want to visit. Then let everyone know your thoughts.
Pete’s list looks good to me ... he knows this stuff better than I do. I doubt I’ll have time beforehand so will probably be pouring over maps on the first night in the bar while talking bollocks with a beer ... my idea of a great holiday ;-)
Biker Ranch Eifel in range for a ride out (cafe, biker meet, shop..). Twisty roads possible I think and just over 100 miles..?
Me too. Knobblies being swapped back for hardly used and slightly suspect OEM Dunlops .... gotta use them up somehow
First service due Sat and think I’m just there on miles. Can barely grip anything today: forearms feel like I’ve done 3 days on track
Forecast for Bouillon ... looks a bit of a mixed bag! Plenty of time for the forecast to change mind!
Following on from Pete’s routes I can recommend the road south from Koblenz to Loreley, Ferry across the Rhine and back up other side - proper nice roads with awesome scenery and good food stops riverside. Also, if you want to go a bit further north there’s a small museum at Remagen which is worth a look
