2019 Hypermotard Mods

  1. Good taste!
I’m vertically challenged with a 29” inseam, so I don’t think you’ve got much to worry about - I do ride in MX boots though. Best style for a hyper :p:heart_eyes:

As for luggage, I’m using my Kriega’s.. I have noticed, that on the pillion pegs, there seems to be mounting holes for some luggage, but not seen any yet

  2. Hooligans mode.... 110-130 miles, but plenty of reserve methinks, so wouldn’t be surprised if I could get to 150 miles in a bit more touring style

  3. Took the tail off for a mock up using the 939/821cc nrc tail tidy. Looks like itl be fairly easy to make a bracket to get it to fit.

When u take the the tail off its a platic cover which exposes the 3 allen bolys that hold the tail on. So when i make a new bracket the plastic cover will go back over it so there wont be a big hole where the tail came off like on some bikes

  4. Looks great, good work!

  5. Have you guys looked at fitting a Lithium battery yet? I wonder if the dimensions are the same as the 939/821 battery?

  6. Looks good, but...
How’s that distance for the heat from the exhaust airflow?
    Where does the indicators go?

  7. The indicators are in the white NRC strip below the tail light... I’d be worried about the exhaust gasses melting the plate as well but have heard that evotech are producing some exhaust gas deflectors as part of their new tail tidy :)

  8. Yeah there is a bit of distance between the exhaust and the plate. But if the heat is going to be an issue then i thought about either a bit of tin as a heat shield behind the plate. Or just getting a metal pressed number plate

  9. Looks great, here in the states the plates are much smaller, so it would look great.
When you get s chance , please show how the lights are attached underneath, thanks.

  10. Love the 950 and would replace my 821 in a blink, but the luggage is a deal breaker for me. From what I have read in a number of different reviews and notes about the 950, the intent was not for it to be used with luggage, but was to design an out and out hooligan machine :p The rear sub-frame is apparently a lot lighter and not designed to take a mounting plate and top box as I have on the 821. Having said that the Kriega bags strapped to the tail should be OK, catch is that then you have to ditch the pillion rider meaning that weekends away with SWMBO become a problem. Methinks the solution may be to buy the 950 for commuting and keep the 821 for weekends away... Nah, don't think SWMBO will buy that ... :sob:

  11. I am still playing around with mirror and signal options.

Here is the latest using Rizoma pro guards, Rizoma club LED signals, and bar end mirrors.

Rizoma pro guards are overpriced and don't look that great. I question their functionality.

I like getting rid of the stalk antenna mirrors for a cleaner look.

The rizoma LEDs are super bright and low profile.

  12. I went with FAR Viper Shield Mirrors. They fold out similar to the original 1100 hyper mirrors, excellent view of behind and really nice quality.
Also have a built in lever guard. And it sits quite nicely against the stock handguards

  14. What was the part number of the battery? I am thinking of fitting one to my 950 SP.

  15. I stuggled to find somewhere that ships to the uk. But eventually got them here:
    https://shop.ricambimotolopiccolo.i...shield-viper-far-neri-per-moto-7490-7491.html

Not sure if they ship to usa or not.
If ur searching for them elsewhere
Make sure u order both sides. Part no. 7491 is the left, 7490 is the right.
G18BB930 is the code for the fitting kit If you need it.
