British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Afternoon chuckles, pray tell what argument has been lost when the peoples majority democratic vote to leave has yet not happened, nearly 3 years after giving the house of commons, house of lords and the government a clear mandate to do so?

  2. The argument that the UK will be better off out than in? The argument that the Nhs will get all this money in their coffers? The argument that the world and his dog will want to strike wonderfully one sided (in favour of the UK obviously) trade deals with the UK. Do we need to go on?

The leavers are deluded in how they think we will come out of this.

  3. I remember clearly Dave telling the plebs. that they’ll be worse off if they voted ‘Leave’. He even wrote to each one to make it plain which way they should vote. Then it all got a bit weird and the plebs. went off script.

  7. Blimey el, you swallowed the full remainer package, sadly with little fact but lets have a go at it

Leaving whilst for a number of reasons, the largest was simply, we just don't want to belong to the eu anymore after 40 plus years. We used both eu and uk legal and procedural structures to do so and by a majority democratic vote, said leave please.

One of the constant dog turds of a remainer argument has been "you just want to return to colonial days" just how is that even possible? remainers themselves are insisting on remaining in a gated protectionist system. Leavers want to be part of a worldwide map but no longer in the eu which is loosing what it was meant to be and so politely we are asking to leave that. No one wants to go back to colonial days, if anything having had a world empire and taken on one twice, we've seen the dangers of such things and that has driven many to say not again.

Better in? There is no doubt the deal may is trying to sell is a worst deal than we have, that is the remainers in parliaments fault. Leaving as voted for on a clean break, everyone who sought that understood there would be a few years, 3-4 where the exact same level of restructuring would take place whether we leave fully or partially, in order to be a more reactive and U.K. focused direction whilst able to adapt world wide market. The idea one of the largest markets in europe suddenly has run out of money and doesn't want to buy stuff is pure nonsense.

We will get the deals we get, but this time it will be deals specific to the U.K. tailor made and not made for the other 27

The nhs was suggestive rather than conformitive but are you saying that non of the money we would keep rather than give to the eu would not be used towards the eu? I ask as todate I have not seen a single remainer say the nhs would not get more money, if you say that is the case could you highlight it?

Do we need to go on? you have been for three years ever since you lost the democratic vote you were all happy to take part in when you thought you would win

  8. He likes to throw a nonsense grenade in when the standard remoners are looking weak and rather silly just to wind it up - remember the VAT one  now he's retiring he's lost his selfish remain views so hasn't really been bothered for the last 2 years :upyeah:

  9. Most of the remain campaign since the vote, has been about whataboutery rather than acknowledge every single person voting in the U.K. on that day, did so believing it might go their way and for the first time in god knows how long, those that lost said that democracy and democratic votes no longer matter when they lose.

  10. That's it in a nut shell, especially the ones that should have undertaken the task set them with a little more vigour and enthusiasm, them of all people, disrespectful of their profession (never mind the mini wingers on here, at least they like Ducati's, although come across more like BMW adventure bike owners :eyes:)

  11. I agree wholeheartedly that the win for leave was done using the democratic process. However I strongly believe that the “leavers” were lied to and are still being lied to by those in parliament that advocated leaving. Just look at the latest comment by that chinless wonder, Jacob Rees-Mogg.

Your comment that the massive proposed contribution to the nhs was “suggestive” is nothing short of laughable. It was one of the cornerstones to the leave argument.

Tbh I don’t think you actually believe the tripe that leavers have been fed, you’re an intelligent man, but you like to peddle it on here just to wind people up. It’s what you and the others do no matter what the subject.

  12. This works on, everything that the leaver leaders said was believed by the leavers because they were simple enough to believe it and you on the remainer side were never lied to and were intelligent to know the difference. A common statement by many on the remain side which happens to be the losing side also that now wants to overturn democracy.

The wish to leave the eu was not based I'm alright jack so is my pension fund/retirement in France or second house in Greece as some have made clear their remain vote was in here.

okay, tell me where on the bus it says we will give the nhs 350 million extra

I believe like any other democratic vote, as did many people voting on both sides, that both sides said stuff that ranged from plain silly to accurate and on a sliding scale. It was as it has always been, down to the individual when they go into the voting booth.

To be quite honest the remainer stance of brexiteers were to stupid to understand whilst remainers were intellectual gods created much of the division for no other reason than the remainers lost.

For what ever the individuals reason for leaving there is one common denominator, the majority democratic vote by the people wanted to leave the eu. Allow mp's the precedent to ignore those peoples wishes now, and there is no telling what other peoples vote they can ignore, the lid is off pandora's box.

All totally and utterly true, been discussed many times if you go back and read a few hundred pages that you have been avoiding - trouble it most of parliament didn't want it - so the whole negotiations were false from the start - crap effort Tel. Have a look at Cameron's speech the day before the election if you want some tripe...

  17. Nothing at all. Same old, same old. Thread really should be closed as no “leaver” will ever change the mind of a “remainer” and vice versa.

The thread had run its course after the first 3 pages.
