2001 750 Sport - rear shock

  1. The screw driver to adjust a free flowing screw isn't really a hardship though, and it isn't like the two screws are in a really hard position to turn 180 degrees either way, as opposed to the blue anodised one which you will be turning mm at a time with fingers that don't fit in the gap.


    But the shock in OP isn't as good as the screwdriver Showa, which is 3 way adjustable with ease :wink:

    I have the same shock on my 2002 750 Sport; with the blue anodised adjuster. Is it possible that Ducati used the better (is it better?) item on the later bikes?
     
  3. Is yours a grey frame bike?

    Grey frames seem to have the different shock to the gold frame bikes
     
  4. Yeah, it seems to be the same as the OP's, but mine's with the full fairing.
     
  5. Then my theory thus far is proving right so far, apart from the fairings....so grey framed bikes, fully faired or not have the less good stuff on
     
  6. There are several good companies that can fully refurb and service Ducati, showa ,boge and sachs shocks for £100 , google them ,
    alternative is shock factory shocks for £350 new amazing quality , or the Nitron, ohlins etc at £500+ I have Shock factory on my 750ss and ohlins on s4 and refurbed sachs on my m750 ......
     
  7. Would that be the same Showa that when you ask them for the bearings their response is
    "Yeah, we don't have anything like that sorry"
