Hi Guys, apparently there are two products for the Ducati 1098/1198 - the DS & X-Type (as you mentioned above). I went to Bikers Discount Store as they are the UK dealer for Healtech products and according to them the compatible model is the DS. Anyone know the difference between the DS & X-Type series ? Obviously you have all fitted the X-Type and it works fine. They are both the same price - just trying to find out what the difference is. Thanks
What's the point of a gear indicator? I've never been able to understand that. You just move up the gears until you get to top, and you know you're in top when you see a certain speed for a given amount of revs (which you soon get used to). On the way down, you just find a gear that works for whatever you're doing, and you soon know in any case when you're in first. I can't see that knowing I'm in 3rd rather than 4th is any use at all. Am I just some old school idiot who doesn't understand the delights of modern technology?
Many thanks, that's exactly what I'm looking for. Just for your info guys, I've since found out that the X-Type is for 1098/1198 to 2009 year and for 1198 2009 onwards is the DS. Now to order !!
