Started on the rsv4 tlc... Its been 5 years since the exhaust go a look at.... So alot of swearing later its out... To get cerakoted along with a few other bits and pieces... The nitron is coming out.... And this is going in... Its one of those too good to be true days... Ie if I go out something bad will happen so staying put in the garage...
Well I had some good news, a letter arrived saying my shoulder op has been brought forward by 2 weeks ...result And having sold 3 bikes I treated myself to a 10 plate Yamaha XT660X for a bit of Funtime, I couldn’t resist having a quick blast out today just to see what it’s like, well what a hoot, it’s obviously down on power to what I’m used to but fantastic fun, only a quick blast as the shoulder started to ache, can’t wait to get back on it now.
Invoices..... mainly invoices..... I wanted to get the Mutley MOT'd and insured... then get on the Monday run..... but it didn't happen.
Shock in... Next job is to get this bad boy in.... Replacement for a known plastic failiure point.... But its right under here... So... Considering that for another day...
We’re up in Scotland for the weekend staying with #1 son and family in Helensburgh. Today it’s been 22C and beautiful so we took a boat trip out on Loch Lomond this afternoon
Bought this original painting that was for sale at the dealer. It was painted by a local artist by the name of Dennis Matson. I had him make a 24"x30" print for the garage or office as well. Just have to find time to go get it. Dennis is the guy that toured the states and Europe on a 1199 a couple of years ago. Some very cool stuff on his web site as well.

I commissioned Dennis to paint a portrait of my (first, at that point only) 696 in touring guise a few years ago, which now hangs proudly on the wall at home. If you ever have the time, check out his trip write ups on the ADV forum - Coast to Coast with an Italian Supermodel and Around the World with an Italian Supermodel. Brilliant stuff!
