  5. Well I had some good news, a letter arrived saying my shoulder op has been brought forward by 2 weeks ...result :upyeah::upyeah:
And having sold 3 bikes I treated myself to a 10 plate Yamaha XT660X for a bit of Funtime, I couldn’t resist having a quick blast out today just to see what it’s like, well what a hoot, it’s obviously down on power to what I’m used to but fantastic fun, only a quick blast as the shoulder started to ache, can’t wait to get back on it now.

  10. Bought this original painting that was for sale at the dealer. It was painted by a local artist by the name of Dennis Matson. I had him make a 24"x30" print for the garage or office as well. Just have to find time to go get it. Dennis is the guy that toured the states and Europe on a 1199 a couple of years ago.
Some very cool stuff on his web site as well.

Irish - I like your choice. I commissioned Dennis to paint a portrait of my (first, at that point only) 696 in touring guise a few years ago, which now hangs proudly on the wall at home. If you ever have the time, check out his trip write ups on the ADV forum - Coast to Coast with an Italian Supermodel and Around the World with an Italian Supermodel. Brilliant stuff!
