  14. That's really unfortunate Bradders, not that I've been particularly looking, but from memory of the couple of years of ownership of the gen 1 S1000r I don't remember reading anything like that on the S1000r forum

Are you in touch with BMW? Are they able to get you a loan bike?

  15. Keep the BM separate from the others
We can keep up with Bradders here while the others carry on

  16. Shit, that’s a bummer. How many miles does it have on the clock? Now I guess you will be finding out how good (or otherwise) the BMW warranty and support is. Good luck. At least you can taste the beer all day now. Try Chimay Bleu or Vielsalm and very soon you won’t have a care in the world...

  17. 1162 miles, serviced last Saturday at 610.

    So far excellent.

No rentals available! So chose to get repatriated today

A couple of hours to pick me and bike up, taken back to hotel, now cab booked for about 1330 today and flight 1705 with hire car at the airport for getting home.

Unfortunately I have three small bags and helmet and can’t find a local shop to buy a suitcase or large sports bag! So one to work out when I get there..!

  18. Ah Bradders sorry to hear your having to come home :(
