Just bought a new track bike (1299)... it's a 2015 "S" that's been fully converted to a track bike including a Superstock ECU... does anyone know if you can upgrade to the DTC Evo?... for those who have upgraded...was it worth it? Cheers, Rich.
Sorry don’t about the ecu :/ But, What’s the build/spec of the bike? Has it got uprated rads? Thinking about converting my 1299s to track bike Issues I found when tracking it was standard rad doesn’t provide enough cooling at race pace
The bike won't turn up until next week.. It has had the electronic suspension removed, superstock exhaust and map and it was prep'd for a "millionaire" (according to the seller) so hopefully it has been upgraded... I saw a FRAM oversized rad on ebay a bit ago... Hopefully will pick one up if this bike doesn't have one
That's the one! I saw it in Oct last year and missed out on it...feel great to have got it now... Been thinking about it all winter ... And checking ebay just in case it came up! The dealer listed all the spec and I know it was really high... Can't remember the specifics though.
I’d speak to someone like moto rapido personally It’s hard to know how that evo tc upgrade will work with that bike if it’s modified. The standard tc ties itself in knots with the standard power. Every modern bike I’ve ridden on track I’ve had to turn the abs off if I can and turn the tc either off or right down to get on with it.
before the upgrade i found the TC was activating quite a lot, and it felt like the bike was unresponsive coming out of the corners, almost like throttle delay.. with the Evo upgrade it was a lot sharper, and it made the rear a lot more steady, as previously it would Start to pump on acceleration ( possibly suspension reaction that could be adjusted out)
Cheers.... I was gutted for weeks when I missed out on it last year (same bike was in a dealer) then missed out on a 1199 track bike.... Hopefully it will arrive on Thurs and Donington booked for 30th and 16th May
Have fun mate am ther on the 13th of may You should of said i would of sold you mine lol getting itchy feet to sell up
i understand the only way to 100% check is to get a dealer to read the firmware version. i also asked the very same question when i had my 'update'
