https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-1...670720?hash=item4b63308280:g:~dIAAOSwmwFclRa4 Looks good with gold wheels, but 178hp?! Whats Dave Woods done with the rest?! LOL
178 at the wheel, about 200 at the flywheel? Slightly up on stock, with a Super smooth power delivery. That's what Dave wood did with it.
Thought these were knocking 190 plus on dynos with some ECU mapping & cans...doesn't take much to get a 1098R to this numbers
What do you make of this 80's bit of history? Only one bid at start price, no reserve...... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1982-Duc...550668?hash=item2f2f54d14c:g:y0UAAOSwIgFcucHM
Looks pretty genuine although I’d be cautious given the obvious storage conditions being an unheated, leaky garage. Calipers will need at least an overhaul if not replacing. As a project, likely to cost more than its restored value but does that matter when you want a project. If you live near Derby, worth dropping the lister an e-mail which will soon sort out whether it’s genuine or not. Andy
Heart says yes, head says no. The original 500 was my dream bike when i was tooling around on Jap 250/400/350's. I prefer the fairings on the first bikes better, without the bottom lip.
