  1. They're great pics. I've been to Portimao circuit, but not ridden a bike around there, but it's on the 'must visit' list
We're going to Jerez this Nov and Cartagena in Oct for our annual trip, so might try and get an early 2020 visit to Portugal
It's an easy one to sell to the wife too, as the resort they use for hotels near the circuit is a pretty nice place to just sit on the beach for the day

  2. One of the best I’ve ridden, absolutely loved it.

Here’s a video of the last session I did

  6. Thanks mate! Yeah we had the snow and sleet too o_O We very narrowly missed out on a clubman podium as well, came down to the last lap!

I need to start figuring out my new suspension as I was really struggling on it.. looking forwards to Anglesey, you coming?

P.s timer is now working perfect after the reset ! :)

  7. I was watching some of the live timing between races myself, and looked like a fast race too
Glad to hear timer's working too
For suspension, have a chat with Colin Leeder at 100% suspension. He's the best in the business in my opinion, and also does most of the BSB paddock's bikes too

  8. HI Carson - I was theres too that weekend! Cement nicely placed on way into first corner!! Nice vid! Which group & bike were you on? There was a few Pani's there, couple of R's a 1299FE. I was blue group on a 675R which is great but lacked a little on the straight. First time there and what a circuit!! Fab fun! Did you see the car 'roll' in the carpark?

  9. Hi Lazza,

That cement powder into the first corner was scary on the first session after it was put down. It's a quick corner that as well. I started off in inters and then was in advanced by the last day.
The bloke on the FE was in my garage, I was talking to him quite a bit and he told me that's he's done over a 1000 laps of the Nurburgring!

I never seen the car roll? What happened?

  10. Haha even I got sent a picture of the car park rollover

  11. hahaha crazy! how da fq did that happen???

  12. I'm probably the only kiwi that never rolled car!!! Been in 2 that have but I wasn't driving...

  13. My 1st car was rolled without me in it, 2nd car only went on its side after hitting 4 trees (I was driving, young and stupid and drunk A.F.) (No injuries in either, thank F.)

  15. Got invited out to Milan by the Milan DOC to ride on their trackday at Franciacorta track just outside Milan for the weekend.
It made sense for me as I didn't have to take a day off work and losing a day's pay, and it was £51 return from Stansted and staying with friends for the weekend!
They had 2x V4S bikes from DRE and a 959 Corse lent to them by Ducati for the day, along with two mechanics to look after them!
Awesome day. Franciacorta is a small and very technical track, but great fun once you get the hang of it. I had the V4S wheelying the length of the back straight :D
It's an awesome beast and no mistake, so f'ing quick! I also have to say that the Italian attitude to trackdays is pretty much like their attitude to everything: *shrugs*.
It started when it started. It was open pit lane. We had prosecco at the track cafe for breakfast. I didn't attend a briefing... etc :D
All great fun. Track pics to follow.
