  2. its OK, most have fell asleep......

  3. The F1's not been bad the last couple of seasons, to be honest. Maybe the same people could tinker with the motogp rulebook to try and inject a bit of life into it...

  4. Last year I made four predictions about the 2014 F1 season... First - Hamilton will be beaten by Rosberz. Second - Hamilton will be beaten by Perez. Third - Hamilton fans will blame the car, the team, the weather, the tyres, the track etc etc. Fourth - Hamilton will be trying to get out of his contract by the end of the year. Lots of abuse from Hamilton fans... Funny thing though - where was he in the pre-season testing? Just about where I predicted... Yes, I know the season hasn't even got going yet... But I stand by my predictions...

  6. The "spoiler" is Red Bull. RBR did a superb sandbagging job though testing!

Good to see some of the rain has found it's way south, this after a record number of days above 30c. Should be an interesting Q2/Q3 if it's still wet tomorrow.

McLaren have some serious issues to put right quickly. I must admit that I would like to see Button wipe the smug smile off Hamilton's face, though I hope it works out for him and doesn't end up looking like he made a complete mistake.

  7. Suzy Perry returns on a Panigale, so not all bad..

  8. I do like the F1 and the first race of the season is always interesting in terms of giving the fans some idea of the pace of each driver. Crazy qualifying session thou. Must do my best at avoiding all news outlets until 14:00 Sunday afternoon

  9. not a chance

  10. Last year I was lying in bed, Sarah had gotten up, made tea, was on the laptop, I say 'good morning' she says, 'oh look Vettels won'
    Brilliant

  11. Aus wash out!!

  12. Well I for one thought that was a great first F1 race of the season. Looks like it could be a fairly interesting year :upyeah:

  16. It's too much about strategy for me, and not enough about men racing cars. If ever a series needed dumbing down it's F1.

I actually asked Ron Dennis about this when I worked for Mclaren, and he preferred progress, David Coulthard reckons a normal gearshift and foot clutch would make it exciting again, but at the current speeds it would be too dangerous. Mika Hakkinen just smiled - not the sharpest tool in the box is our Mika...

  17. but my word what a racer.

I thought that there was actually a fair bit of racing today, but I can see your point

  18. Agreed, one of the most talented drivers ever, in my opinion.

  19. Exactly.

  20. I disagree I think Uncle Bernie has created a great show; Top 5 finishers were all ex. World Champions and driving 5 different cars. That doesn't happen very often. This should be a fascinating season.
