I thought they had sold the majority shares within Morgan to one of the larger shareholders of Aston Martin, but retained shares within Morgan themselves?
Ironically, just heard Norton's CEO, Stuart Garner advertising business loans from one of the new generation enterprise banks. His mantra is borrow to expand, that's the only way forward for business Andy
In today’s Chip Wrap (MCN). Page 6, Norton builds huge addition to their factory for new model assembly. I do hope they succeed.
Thread should be merged with Norton V4..the company accounts make for quite chilling reading. The numbers do not reflect the hype in any way shape or form. On paper it's folding or needs a significant cash injection in the form of funding to continue to basic trading levels
MCN in typical only report glowing stories about triumph and norton shocker. I know they are UK rag and I actually do think Triumphs are great but they never report on the real stuff going on, and even admitted to previously turning a blind eye to the norton complaints
Right, I'm going to keep suggesting this until it happens... Triumph buy Norton... boutique Triumphs are henceforth Tritons... pass it on.
I agree, but don't forget those accounts are over 12 months old now so cash is obviously still being pumped into the company but who by, how much, and how long it will continue we will never know until another 12 months from now. Their bankers and whoever else is underwriting the company with loans (excluding creditors and shareholders who are always the last to know) should have access to quarterly, or even monthly, management accounts if their Credit Control Depts are doing their job properly. I can imagine Garner spends most of his time in meeting and discussions with them.
So, they are still going, the new (Atlas) factory is open. They have fully tested and the Atlas will soon be starting production from the update I received. How is everyone else getting on?
Just searched for this thread due to seeing below, anyone know anything new with Norton? has everyone got their v4's so now these are ready? good to know the crack...... https://www.motorcyclenews.com/news/new-bikes/norton-dominator-street/
I test rode a Dominator, handled well, braked well, vibrated well, felt slower re acceleration than my 1991 900ss
will be along for a test ride when possible....... to me it looks like the rear needs jacking up an inch or so to give it better looks and it would also give better cornering geometry.... hope the straight line stability wouldn't be lost though
Just the photograph angle i'm suspect that's all,i hope your test ride works out & you make the purchase,It would be nice in this country to see more manufacturing for the public buying home products.just a thought
